Even if there was a timer penalty. Bound to be people who are on last game of the night and just want to annoy someone before bed. Best way to create game mechanics is imagine the worst things a player can do to team mates to intentionally throw their game.
Fall damage would nerf some chraracters that they can only use their ability to land on higher ground or take damage/die if they land back to same ground level i.e. Horizon, Pathfinder, Octaner
@PeterN_UK I don't think tthey wouuld do that in rank... nobody wants to lose a teammate in rank there is huge penalties.
They could remove fall damage for the metal legs, for the space suit momma and just put it very high like 20 feet for fall damage.

Not practical but for humour I suddenly imagined parachutes/wing suits, fish in the barrel target mid air.
