I was going to suggest using a joystick for movement rather than a console controller, but I don't think you can map a joystick in Apex Legends. If you do have a joystick lying around you could try it.
I use a Razer Orbweaver Chroma which has a thumb pad on the side you can use for movement. It's tricky though. Personally, I don't use it for movement. I'm sure plenty of other people do. Perhaps something similar could be an option for you?
I have the tartarus v2 and can say, if u have ever used an actual console controller then its obvious the trash directional stick on these keypads is in no way an acceptable input method for movement.
They are just 8 way switches and they are clunky as heck.
I used to use an xbox controller in my left hand and mouse in the right when i first came to pc from ps4.
once that controller broke i went to kb.
It sucked really bad until i found the tartarus, actually meant for your hand lkke a controller!!
No lobster vlaw required, lol.
But i use wasd for movement not the stick, i tried and its the absolute worst movement stick ive ever used.
