Nice post I really enjoyed reading that. I watch a fair amount of pro play also.
In all fairness I would to say I like both styles of play and really believe that a mix of both is what makes winning teams.
Early aggression runs it's risks but can be high risk high reward by securing early KP eliminating a competitor and moving on to either TP another team or play position in the mid game to gate keep other team/s.
Completely waiting to the end game is also a high risk play as it does not guarantee winning and or sometimes top 5 depending on how many teams are there at the end and is also heavily RNG. Also if the team has no KP at that point it could spell disaster if they end up out of top 5 and no KP.
With that in mind one should reduce RNG and aggressively seek early KP and take every advantage to use other teams mistakes against them mid game to insure more KP and seek to place top 5 by eliminating the comp, outsmarting the comp. Once the transition from mid to end game starts to happen it is great to get other teams to fight each other so your team can pick off the leftovers and rotate for position hoping to get the remaining teams down to your team and 1-2 others so that the odds are better at winning an end game. Because 6-8 teams in the final circle is just nothing but luck.
