Game is done, cheaters won

Every single match now there's at least a couple, you can't even avoid it...your game is finished, you ban them but they all come back and do it again! For real, they're even in bot royale now... Level 20 players running around hipfire shooting across the map while tap straffing and you want the 2% of people that are left not using cheats to compete with that? Ok respawn...sure

  • Hi there,

We understand the point being raised here. The concern is not just about reporting individual players, but about how effective enforcement feels when banned accounts are quickly replaced, and the overall experience does not appear to improve.

We’ll continue to monitor the feedback shared here and ensure those concerns are visible to the anti-cheat team. Anti-cheat is an ongoing effort, and the team continues working on it over time.

Thanks again to everyone for taking the time to share your perspective and for your understanding.

    Hi Salmon,

What’s the reasoning behind not being able to institute a hardware ban on console for Apex, as other games have done in the past?

Because that would eliminate players, and this game is vying against others for market share, which is measured in the number of players online.

Thankfully, more and more players here understand that account bans do absolutely nothing to eliminate cheaters, and they're going to other games with actual policing and hardware bans. Me included - I've had enough of this pathetic lip service and frustrating game experience.

the problem is that we DO report it, and you DO ban accounts often...but you have zero enforcement on long term, repeat offenders. This is what the whole community is saying, you ban them and they just make a new account, load a new cheat and start over again in literal minutes. Hi,

I understand why you’re asking. We’re not able to go into the specifics of enforcement methods or detection systems on the forums, including what may or may not be used behind the scenes on particular platforms.

The recent anti-cheat updates also note that we are continuing to expand detections and enforcement.

Our teams are actively developing detection improvements that will feature a multi-layered detection system specifically designed to identify the use of input-manipulating hardware with a high degree of confidence. This system is being built to differentiate between legitimate accessibility tools and hardware used to cheat.

    Thanks for raising the question.

    Hi Frankencooler,

I understand why you feel that way, and I’m sorry this has been such a frustrating experience.

We know the concern here is not just about individual cheaters, but about whether enforcement feels strong enough to make a real difference to the overall experience. That feedback has been heard, and we’ll continue to monitor the sentiment shared here and ensure it remains visible to the anti-cheat team.

I’m also sorry to hear that cheating has caused you to lose confidence in the game. That’s genuinely painful to hear. We do want to create a better environment for everyone. If things improve for you in the future, you’d always be welcome back, and we’d truly hope to still see you in Apex.

Cheating methods continue to evolve, which may require a long-term effort, but we will continue working on it.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave your feedback.

    Hi Yoko-Ono-U-Didnt ,

I understand the point you’re making. The concern is not whether reports lead to action at all, but whether the action feels meaningful when repeat offenders can return so quickly that the overall experience does not improve.

That broader concern has been heard, and it’s valuable to have this feedback stated clearly. Because cheating methods continue to evolve, this is a long-term fight, but we will continue to monitor the feedback shared here and ensure it remains visible to the anti-cheat team.

Thanks for taking the time to explain your perspective.
