@GopnikGamburgerJust because 1 team who is not even in the top 10 of teams in any tournament leaves does not mean others will follow.
In my own opinion their apex team just was not enough most likely to keep pushing forward. Their placements were always a little rough some in the top 20's. So closing down nrg for apex kind of makes sense from a business standpoint.
Hard to blame EA when its the players who failed the team not the game.

@BallisticMVPCorrect but I do say the players and the coach all were at fault and some game issues also im sure but there is more to losing than blaming the game. The strategy was not there they did their own thing and a lot of the times it would cost them. There really is no one else to blame. If it was the game we would not see top teams always winning. They have great coaches and great players.
I will never say NRG is horrible. Sweets is awesome and so humble. But, just looking at the facts it was a better business choice to dissolve the apex side of nrg. This is not the only org over the years to pull their apex team for not having a solid apex team.- 2 years ago
@E9ine_ACIm not blaming them losing on the game but I blame nrg leaving on apex/ea
One bad tournament doesnt make an org leave… i mean cmon they got second split one.
There were issues on the roster gild gave great inside in one of his streams what the issues were, that doesn’t make a fan favorite big org drop their whole roster and leave. NRG doesn’t see a big future for apex that’s why they left…- 2 years ago
Yeah it's kinda sad , that's how it starts and then the game end like pubg.
