I played a few matches on my phone about a month after it came out. Knew it was a money grab when one of the first matches I played, even though my Apex PC stats are TERRIBLE, looked like this:
Yes, that is 9 kills, AND A SOLO WIN, at game level 3. No way that wasn't throwing me easy or even BOT opponents, just to trick me into spending real money before they fed me to better players to get THEM to spend money. My record kills in one match in the real game is 4. Just 4.

It describes, in an only slightly different context, the exact process you described where Apex mobiles lures you in with fake matches in the hopes you will a) spend money and b) hang around as fodder to lure in better players. This is how the entire online universe works. This is their business model. This is what they think of us lowly consumers. This is why I'm not on any social media platform, and use google and amazon as little as possible. This is what the world has come to.
