Not if it isn't the same cheater over and over in a pre made.
Also, the chances of getting un-banned are slim to none IMO. The reasoning behind it is, protecting the existence of false positives. But people have been un-banned.
Thgamingdefinition has, you can find it on youtube --although in a diferent game.
@Vdstrk I really hope they listen to my commentary on it. I've spend the last year working on that account, getting things and characters I enjoy playing. And trying to get better, so when I play with my son I actual help him, vs. hurt him in the games. Including during the 2nd anniversary event spending money so I could get Heirloom materials, so I can use them when a character I want to have heirloom on, gets it.
HW Id seems like a bad way to do things BTW. That would mean if I switch components in my PC, or swap to a different PC it would work right? If I was writing the system I'd use the Unique User ID that they generate for everyone as the banning item.
Although I guess since people just make new accounts when a cheater, the HWId lets them track down to that same HW and limit them.
So I guess I could see that as being a reason to do it that way as well.
Man I hate cheaters. If somehow this comes down to a cheater getting my account banned like this I'm going to be even more annoyed then I sound right now.

@BinkDeBookSadly cheaters also have hwid spoofers. By sounds of it may of just been a account ban. Only way to tell is to create a new account try to go into a game and if it works then its account ban if it dont then its hwid ban.
Yes cheaters suck with it being a million doller industry stopping them just and cant happen. They as you know being in the same field as me that they are 5 steps ahead.
In terms of their revenue as they are registered in the united states so all information has to apply licences etc so finding the information on them is quite easy tbh.
so imagine them charging 80 bucks per month which is the current price. Let's say they have 1000 customers thats 80 grand in a single month. Imagine them now having 10000 customers. Thats 10 million a month. Not including the other games the same site sells of other games cheats. They have the money to get some of the best as you would know. Just not a easy task to tackle.- @BinkDeBook
All they are trying to do is keep callous cheaters off the game. That is why they HWID ban. However, those who keep cheating know how to get around it.
I do not know details on how HW bans work, and it is something I'm not really interested in.
I wish for more transparency. But it seems to be an EAC policy to prevent transparency -- a guideline of sort.

That account then existed as the only way for a bit to get two accounts, one on PC, one on PS4, with the same user name, to be joinable to allow for us to play together.
Somewhere along the line they fixed it so you could send an invite to the same user name, when on a different platform, so since then, that account has sat dominant (all of season 8). I was able to use it last night to join with my son on the PS4 account.
But it's not the same ☹️ None of the characters are opened. It has none of my skins. We had only gotten it to level 14. None of my fun stuff when gliding down, etc.
And yep - trust me I get the whole large money source for cheaters.. and no way to stop them easily. As my son keeps commenting he's tired of all the cheaters making the game no fun for him this past season. I try to explain to him that, yep it sucks, just let it go and move onto the next game, and hopefully on this one we have a good game, and don't run into cheaters.
As for HWID Spoofing - based on how it's generated (I did a quick search) way to easy to get around it. It's based on the motherboard, etc installed in the PC. Any custom Gaming PC that is build by the user, will change over time with that. Like when I resurrected the desktop gaming PC by install all new hardware in it to be able to play apex better vs. the laptop that wasn't meant for gaming. I had to refresh the windows setting and re-validate things.
Now if you did that often enough might cause an issue. But I'm sure it's also easy to find a hack to spoof HWID. There are hacks and ways around anything, if you care to do it.
And overall people just suck 🙂
I still never get the motivation for not just working at getting better on your own, or accepting your skill level is where it is at. And just play to enjoy the game. The winning isn't what's fun, that is just a perk. It's the ability to get away and have fun, vs. having to actual do you stressful job everyday.
