Modern warfare is a decades old franchise with an incredibly large fan base so it's not the best comparison really.
Especially since Vanilla FPS games are more appealing to a lot of people than FPS BR games.
This discussions been had so many times in this forum and i cba making a counter argument so i'll leave it at that. XD
- DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@MandatoryIDtag Toss in that COD and BFV games allow players to constantly dominate their rounds. i have friends in BFV who never do worse than a 50/10 K/D ratio for their rounds, they frequently are in the 70/10 range. Looting also is not part of the game.

Facts: none of the LTM modes on top of ranked que has diluted que times. You can bank on that.
The people who play shooters like MW are the same people who play BR's.

@Wingmannedbronot sure of that. If a queue goes down from 400 players to 100, waiting time will still be very short. The problem becomes much more visible when the queue gets reduced from 100 to 30-40.
Another thing, there's this bit right here: https://youtu.be/qheEotA1I7I?t=788. Kandyrew was among the streamers that helped launch season 3, so it's very possible that he's heard this straight from some people at Respawn or EA.@DankTolietPlease, show me where I "dictated" you how to play the game. Also, please define "people like me". Are you referring to people that don't agree with you, to average players, to forum members? Actually, do you see (know) me?
- DankToliet6 years agoSeasoned Ace@DoYaSeeMe Yet, there's no proof showing any matchmaking issues during Iron Crown and Duos. All I see is people like you trying to dictate others how to play the game.

@DankToliet If by dictating you mean voicing an opinion, then you are equally guilty of this "dictatorship" that you're accusing others of lol.
This is how forums work, if you want everyone to just clap along and agree with you then you're barking up the wrong tree.
@Wingmannedbro to a degree, but a there are plenty of people who play BR's over Vanilla FPS and vice versa. The fact still remains that COD has a much larger following than Apex thus can afford to throw in as many game modes as they like.

Its not about diluting matchmaking..its about diluting developers interest..
They will have to keep away a lot of time to introduce new stuff for the solo mode and catering to that mostly..while that time could be used in universally developing the game through bug fixes or develing servers or net code
Though i have to admit im fine with both solos and duos,,as long as they bring back a huge chunk of the old playerbase i will be happy
