I'm personally not a fan of the Alternator, P2020 hop-ups. One of the things I love most about Apex is the fairly long time to kill. After the update, Apex feels more along the lines of a generic twitch shooter, because the Alternator, P2020 combo drop you so fast. They're overpowered, it's a shame. Apex doesn't feel balanced.You know something is wrong when a fully kitted Alternator, P2020 can drop you faster than a gold care package weapon. Decreasing the time to kill also has a negative effect on the netcode and makes it feel even worse. The majority of competitive twitch shooters run 60Hz tick rate, above servers. Apex is using 20Hz tick rate servers.I believe the disruptor round, hammerpoint round hop-ups need a serious nerf, for the good of the game. I don't enjoy the current meta, feels like you can't outstrafe your opponents when they're using the overpowered Alternator, P2020 combo. The gunfight is over too fast.

When they first announced the disruptor rounds I thought maybe it would be about 20% extra damage or something like that.I love the Alternator and I think the buff they gave it made it a viable weapon late game, but I do feel like the disruptor rounds need to be reigned in even from 170% damage to something like 140%.P2020 & Mozambique I think are fine as they are still pretty pants when using them against shields, you go up against someone with purple shields and you're gonna feel the pain.

@ZeelmaekersDo some more testing, because a fully kitted Alternator dominates an R-99 in CQC now.A P2020 drops you in three bullets with the hammerpoint rounds. You drop their shields with the Alternator, switch to the P2020 to finish. It's pretty obvious that you're abusing these overpowered weapons.

After initially thinking the disruptor rounds were powerful but not OP, I tested a lot over the weekend and I've changed my mind. On the Alternator especially, I think this hop up is a touch to strong.It's definitely shaken up the meta a bit, but it strips purple armour way to quick. White shields seem non existent to it.It is fun and I like the idea, but I hope they tone it down a bit in the future. It's a little bit to strong imo.

I did some testing the days after this update.The Disruptor Rounds Hop-Up lets the RE-45 and Alternator shine and put it in a spot that it's balanced close range gun fights.They get countered pretty easily by other weapons like the R-99, havoc, devotion and shotguns.For the Hammerpoint Rounds rounds, i think they are in a underused spot.The Compatible weapons are rarely used and don't fit in the meta.They are too weak to get used over other weapons but a small damage buff could change that.Positioning incorrectly or making a mistake could make the difference between winning a fight or losing on with one of these Hop-UpsI think those weapons are a bit overestimated as players haven't adjusted to the new play styles that come with these changes.

Powerful enough to actually make it worth trading off your 2nd weapon spot for it because once someone doesn't have shields, you 3shot them in a second.We're not seeing people adopt it as quickly as disruptor but those hammerpoint weapons are definitely good enough now and don't need a buff.I'd say P2020 with hopup is more beneficial to the user in the hands of someone good. Disruptor is just a lot easier to use because it isn't situational.

@Neil_Enbob An alternator with the hopup and full mag basically is a gold weapon.

It does feel a little bit too strong still though. Not much but enough that its noticeable. It might be a good idea if they made the hopup for alternator make the gun do less damage to health as the trade-off for more damage to armor. The range on it is ridiculous as well for an SMG. Might be an idea to make it slightly faster firing but make it have serious bulletdrop so it really is an up close and personal weapon. With a 2x4 scope on it at the minute I still feel fairly confident going up against people with weapons that should outrange me.

P2020 to be honest I don't mind at the minute. Switching to a finisher and getting off your shots isn't as easy as is being made out by some people I play with. If it was they'd all be doing it. The gun is still hot garbage until someone's armor is gone.

A decent way of balancing the P2020 would be to lower the bodyshot value and increase the headshot value if they really HAVE TO change it.

If the p2020 was any weaker with the hopup then it wouldn't really have a place in the game. You're sacrificing 1 of your weapon slots to have a situationally powerful gun.

I would say the mozambique needs a further buff though.
Ask yourself this question,
If you HAD to run a shotgun as a secondary would you take a hopped mozambique or a peacekeeper?

@MandatoryIDtag Personally I'd take the bique if it was hopped up. I loathe the peacekeeper :P I'm in an extreme minority who would answer that question this way though.

Im with you... i hate the peacekeeper... ill take a eva over it all day! Having one squadmate with disrupter and another with hammerpoint is a deadly combo...
