How has hit reg been for new season so far?
I haven't tried console yet this season, but pc has been pretty bad for hit reg. I was able to get 158 damage in one match, but one player who didn't even have a gun during the hot drop would not go...

Hit reg seems to be fine.
my avg damge per game has gone up quite well.
I am also about 36 BR matches in and have won a few games.
Me and a couple of randoms in the pic. I was using an L-star the whole match a weapon I do not like and do not use often but had fun with it.
- @Asmodeus566 Right now you're doing about how I was before season 20. I used to finish with about 1500 damage per match and between 3 and 6 kills, winning between 2 or 3 percent of my matches.
I wonder if you being MnK has anything to do with it. Also, a few seasons ago were you getting even higher numbers than this?
I'm also considering trying switch for a couple nights and on pc I'm going to switch to MnK when I feel more confident with it. I still think I need to practice more first.
Hit reg may also depend on who else is in the match, the server, and whether or not there are cheaters in a lobby. I do remember seeing in the comments on a video once that cheaters can bog down a server and cause hit reg to drop.
Last season hit reg was bad for me, but this season it seems worse. I was able to get a kill during a hot drop last night using the Alternator, but I had to reload the gun multiple times and dodge the person shooting at me, in the past one mag with the Alternator would down an opponent.
It is interesting so many are having this problem, but some aren't. Many of the Randoms I play with have all zeroes at the end and no matter how much they fire none of it registers. - @Asmodeus566 I hate to keep repeat posting, but I just had a very frustrating session playing this game. I did about 2 hours or pc and an hour on switch. One whole mag of the nemesis did damage in the 40s when I attacked someone from behind. I was fighting one person with a volt with a 1x attachment and the first 2 mags did no damage at all and went right through him, the 3rd mag did damage in the 20s. This is happening over and over to me and the Randoms and others I play with. Also, I usually get one shotted by people using the "apex beam" cheat that a youtube video exposed. (I won't post the video here, but I can send it in to the report page, it empties the whole mag of the gun in one shot and cancels all recoil whole aimbotting)
Cheaters don't bother me as much as the low damage/no hit reg does. You can still kill a cheater if you sneak up on them, so even if you were in a lobby where half the people were cheating there are still ways to get kills and outsmart them. However, if the guns won't do damage then you have no way to fight back at all.
I know it isn't internet because I've also been playing Fortnite, Farlight 84, Star Wars Hunters, Snowbreak, and Overwatch 2 and I don't have any issues with hit reg and those are similar (although inferior) fps games.
What could be causing me and other players in lobbies with me to get little to no damage despite shooting players? Is it really just MnK players having good games on pc this season?
I would appreciate any help because I'm so frustrated and you seem like the most knowledgeable person about apex. One player I play with is a live streamer so I'm going to try to see if he can get footage of what I'm talking about as well since maybe the problems will be more apparent if people can see it.
While I know the cheater issue is a serious problem threatening the game's continued success, I think this problem is even more serious since you can't fight back against anyone, including cheaters, if damage doesn't register.So I must be one of the lucky ones to basically never have had to deal with hit reg issues. I have been playing one Mnk PC since the game came out and can say that I have not really been affected by this outside a handful of times.
The times that I had been affected were when I had internet issues like lag, high ping etc. and a bit before I got my new PC.
I wish I was as knowledgeable about Apex a you suggest. There are others here with a bit more knowledge than me @hayhor @E9ine_AC @OldTreeCreeper and our lovely Apex CM extraordinaire @EA_Mari to name a few.
I will say this though I do notice that when I play with my two close friends three stacking and we are in a grove damage output, kills and winning games increase. This is also the case when I get decent randoms to play with. When I get matched up with bad players, Hot drop Harry, Rambo, Rage quitters, and or complete noobs it affects my games negatively. This has however nothing to do with hit reg.
As far as cheaters go I do not see many of them anymore since I stay away from ranked play the first week of a split and the last week as well. I also do not play LTM's as much as I used to because they seem top be a magnet for cheaters and or super cracked players chasing shiny badges and the MM is pretty shady then. Same goes for TDM, Control and Gun Run, to many quitters cracked players and or cheaters I only use those modes to play 2-3 matches to warm up for Trio Pubs.
Just because your internet connection seems and feels fine does not mean it is. I use O2 and it could be just fine however the main trunk lines are owned by Telekom and they sometimes have issues that can affect me. With that in mind asking my ISP and they will say all is fine on there end but that Telkom is having issues and they can do nothing about it. I had no internet or phone for 3 days and O2 had to tell me that it will be back up once Telekom got there ...... together and fixed there own issue. So occasionally I will get a 1-2 game lag issue even though my internet is fine.
I could not say if there is an input issue that could be affecting you when you use controller on PC or if AA is affecting you since I have never ever used a roller on my PC. Strictly MnK player that I am.

- @Asmodeus566 Thank you so much for the tips and thanks for the kind words. The good community we have here is what makes apex such a great game. Yeah, it has been rough lately, but the games, including apex, have been a great escape.
- @Asmodeus566 I hear you on that. L-STAR seems to be all or nothing... I've never figured it out and am really inconsistent with it.

It is what I was able to find that round and upgrade quickly, got lucky it worked out.
- @Asmodeus566 Yeah. I have my preferences like everyone else but I usually run with whatever I get kitted out first. There are exceptions of course, the Alternator, for example, is my 301/CAR accessory holder until I find one, lol.
