Interface Issues - Poor Design

OK, I was online playing apex with my wife yesterday and she was talking about skins available in the store and now they appear to be available on the actual character skin selection screen.  I didn't know this.  So she asked me what you could buy them with (gold coins, red coins or crafting mats).   I wasn't sure so I jumped into a random character skin selection screen and looked for a skin I didn't have.  I was near the top so just selected one of those and saw "1,800" coins - to me it looked like it might have been a drop down dialogue box for other purchase options.  Nope, I just lost 1800 apex coins on a skin I had no interest in as when I clicked on it it instantly proceeded with the purchase.  No confirmation, Nothing.

I filed a support ticket request explaining the situation and was told nothing can be done.

Fix your interface guys.  At the very least there should be a confirmation that you intend to proceed with the purchase rather than just taking it.  I was pretty surprised at the lack of confirmation dialogue.  Now I'm out 1800 coins for a skin I have zero interest in for a legend I don't play that is, apparently, impossible to refund.  Ridiculous.

Upside is I teach interface design and I'll be using this as an example of bad design so I guess I'll get some value out of it.
