@Alphabets it's okay because it's the system the developer's implemented working as intended. Or we can just start creating games eventually, and at that point you’re gonna have to play with who’s playing."The overarching reason that this is okay, is because player retention has been dropping consistently due to various factors, and instead of improving the game that they pushed out, they're rushing all these little bandaids to try and keep people playing. They wouldn't have had to consider matching you with whoever is there, or branching you out, or waiting forever, if they had consistently pushed quality updates that made people WANT to play the game at every hour of every day.

I'm inclined to agree with @BaldWraithSimp on this one.I used to play ranked seriously, however I got tired of smashing straight through to platinum and being teamed with people who've hidden their way out of gold or people who are actually still in gold, whilst fighting high plat/low diamond premade teams on the regular.Now I just use ranked as my first match of the day to have a warm up,and it shows since I'm sat at silver 4. XDSBMM constantly gives me crap teammates in pubs so I can't really add anyone to play ranked, and let's face it...LFG groups are like a roulette wheel spin too.I'll play ranked seriously when we get a duo's ranked.

@Alphabets Wait until you try solo master and get to D2 then have 2 golds or even silvers. Ranked is totally broken.

@Alphabets I totally agree. You can't play with friends who are more then one rank between you but forces you to carry several rank difference with randoms because of declining players. The logic.I would much rather wait awhile to get a decent game than this.Wait, if it's declining players then surely we still have enough bronze to gold to fill their lobbies or things are worse than we are lead to believe. 🤔

@Alphabets I'm not disagreeing with you, it's completely bonkers that you're matched up like that in ranked. Sorry, I should've made that clear, of all the people here who talk about the state of the game and how the devs have handled it, you will quite literally find me the last person to make excuses for them. You're right though, there is absolutely no difference between the current matchmaking system and just having the entirety of ranked be completely random. There's not enough people playing the game, and it's no ones fault EXCEPT the developers. They think that the community being mad at them is a joke, and you see it in the interview too where a developer says:"CG: I have a kind of a funny thing that we joke about in the office, when we’re talking about things like the Pathfinder nerf, we use SBMM as a scale, like; ‘how upset are people gonna be, SBMM angry, or…?’ [laughs]"I wish we could curse on the boards, right now primarily because I'm drunk I think, and also because it's hard to convey the depth of frustration that the developers have created among their players easily. Their game is a joke, and they've made it that way, and when the community is upset about it, they laugh at us, and they think it's no ones fault except ours. It's hard for me to praise anything about this game, what with the history of its development, and the developers track record.

@Alphabets I’m level 500 and only silver I. This season has been a struggle for me.

I’ve talked to other people in game and nearly all have said this season has been the hardest for them and a struggle. There are a lot if people who are under performing. Last season I’d have a 1500+ damage game At least once a night. This season I’m lucky to have 800-1000 damage game once every 3-4 nights. Just to give an idea of how bad it is, my KD is less than half of what it should be. All of my Stats are down and substantially. Lots of people are in the same boat as me, lots of people are under performing and stuck in lower skill lobbies.

There is something that’s just off this season and I can’t pin it. I can’t use the prowler/99/RE-45. No matter what happens I get out shot. I’ve unloaded entire clips into people and they don’t go down. I end up getting dropped while reloading.

I know the strafing that’s taken over CQC Movement is part of the issue. People don’t miss shots on me, but I miss shots on them.

Some of it is that I’d main wraith Before this season and she is basically useless now. The nerf to her tactical is brutal. You basically stop running for a second becoming a sitting duck for a full second. Unless you’re in a noob lobby you’ll get lasered trying to use it to escape trouble.

@Alphabets I only started playing ranked again this season a few weeks back for fun, having dropped back over the last few seasons to bronze.😃 Done the bp, am level 470+ so few rewards to play for, so gonna have me some fun, as I just couldn't make the commitment again to make a serious effort like before.
I have really been enjoying the games as most of the random players are playing to get their points and the teamwork is commendable. As a bronze I have not been placed in a match with anyone above silver this season, at different times of the day/night on the london server. I would love the chance to play with a predator. I got a game with 1 last season.
Funnily enough I've had a win as a duo in ranked this week and am now in silver again, but no sign of any gold players yet.
It does seem a bit odd that the rules only allow ready made teams to be one rank apart but randoms can be more, but in general that hasn't been my experience.

@MandatoryIDtag I think a lot of the various aspects of ranked and unranked could be improved by making it more rewarding to fight instead of flee. I hit Plat back during the first ranked season, and never came back for all the same reasons.
For ranked I personally would remove the cap for kills, and set the kill point multiplier to 10 flat.
For unranked, changing all the weekly / dailies to be combat based instead of miscellaneous tasks. No more revive / respawn X teammates, no more loot X equipment Y times, no more open X boxes, no more loot X carepackages, etc. etc.

@DarthValtrex So i'm not the only one in this situation. I was a Diamond player in S3 and first half of S4( i reached it pretty easily). Second half of S4 i only ranked up to Plat noticing a bit more difficulty to grind( i played a bit less too), but now in S5 i've been struggling a lot. My KD dropped from 1.64 to 1.32, right now i'm stuck in gold and i win much less frequently than before. I can't really say why this is happening, i've been playing the same way as ever.🤨

I'm at the point in pubs where my last 5 squads are generally diamond/master/pred players.
I had 150 wins in s3, it dropped to 70ish in s4, I'm currently say on around 50 for this season, and if anything I'm considerably better now than i was back in s3 lol.
I don't mind the competitive nature of SBMM, but I always seem to be at the bottom end of the skill matching which makes life difficult lol.

@Cro_PitttNo, I ran a round with a rando predator last night. We had a decent round he carried me at times and I carried him (once).

When I play with randoms I like to ask their thoughts on the game. Mostly just to gain perspective and a wide view of peoples opinions.

He said that Season 5 has been the hardest for him to date. Now not everyone feels the same way. I have some friends who are having their best season to date.

I think a big part of my problem is my hardware. I’m trying to limp by on a console I need to replace. It seems like I do good for the first few rounds, then the console gets hot and things get progressively difficult.

I finally had some dominate rounds last night and tonight. I almost got a triple triple in ranked last night with a gold Eva 8 and triple take. Then tonight in duos I got 6 kills on drop with an RE-45 and went onto win the round.

I think my other issue, i have not committed to a specific load-out. So I can’t get consistent.

Good for you staying sober. I hardly touch alcohol cause I've no need for it. Gaming is my liquor and playing is my GA (gamers anonymous) xD.
