Ok, so after not getting a single kill during a 30 min session of pubs i'm really annoyed. I have no idea how to get better, the recoil is uncontrollable for me and often in firefights i can't respond quickly enough and die. Is this something you learn over playing time or do I need to improve in a certain way? My most played so far are bloodhound (13 kills) and wraith (11 kills). For the record I play another FPS on the switch (overwatch) and I have no problems there (If anyone's familiar with the overwatch ranked system i'm high plat). I wasn't very good at fortnite when I played in like season 5 but I was ok at least Thanks for potential tips you guys leave.

Aim (so you hit your targets), Move (so you are less likely to get hit) and Control (so the recoil does not throw off your aim). You won't always get it right but the more you play, the greater the chance that you will.

@hype_f0rce Here is probably the best tip you will receive: **Turn off crossplay.**You probably feel like you are doing so bad because with crossplay on you’re pooled with Xbox and PlayStation which have a HUGE advantage in several areas. I would recommend you turn off crossplay so you can match with only Switch players and work on your basics with a much more level playing field.

@RAIGAN201784 I know from watching a Zeus video of switch play it is not easier to see people at 30 fps. I went from ps4 to ps5 and the locked 60 fps combined with enhanced hd is much better.If you played apex on other console before moving to switch, you are at an advantage to any real new switch player and should be farming those players. Plus if you are on a new switch account you are getting the lowest levels from the other consoles.

You have to learn how to drop, you have to learn how to prioritize loot and gun attachments. You have to learn how to make the loot you have work. Learning how to use abilities and so much more..It really just takes experience.. It's going to be a bit painful for a while but eventually you'll have some success. If you have a good teammate, ask them if they will team up with you.I'd play rounds with you, but I'm in the top tier lobbies right now and they are extremely hard. You will have a very difficult time in those lobbies. I'd be willing go into the firing range with you. You can add me as a friend, just look me up in game my user name is the same as my forum name.I'm not online at the moment but I'll watch for you to be online.

@hype_f0rce If you're desperate to have to some success maybe try the 301, it has fairly minimal recoil maybe run that with an Eva 8. Eva 8 hits fairly hard and is mildly forgiving. The key with the Eva 8 is you have be right next to them for it to be effective. What legends are you playing as? Bangalore is fairly forgiving.. Gibi is a decent choice as well because he can take a ton of damage. Trying to think what would be the best guns for you.. Spitfire still might not be a bad choice, it has a huge magazine and a slow fire rate, so it does not matter if you miss some shots. The only down side, if someone sneaks up on you with a 99, you're going to lose the fight because the 99 has a higher DPS.I would stay away from snipers right now. Sniping in this game is really tricky, it requires laser accuracy, you also have to know how to position yourself for it.

It just takes time to learn recoil control.. There is a lot that comes with learning this game and getting good. @hype_f0rce Apex is generally a bit harder to start than any other game I tried before. I’d say knowing and taking good weapons (such as R301) and also learning the map are the most crucial points. You should know the map so you can rotate fast and get to the high ground in most cases. Also taking weak (such as P2020) or difficult weapons (such as wingman) are not going to help you winning a fight when you are new to the game.

@hype_f0rce You just have to keep an open mind and understand when you maybe should heal and run vs fight. Also understand that switch players with crossplay on are at a pretty large disadvantage to the other consoles. The other consoles have twice the frames and lots of experience.

@MyName1sNotJohn There is no matches on apex switch found without crossplay enables, I has a 13 kill 2700 damage game earlier and the win with 3 revives and two respawns my teammate on xbox or ps4 got 1 kill and 3 assist, the other guy left early apex on switch is easy to compete with other console I feel like our aim assist is more.

It also easy seeing enemy on switch, dumbed down graphics make target stand out, anyone say 30fps make it harder havent play on switch less foliage briggtness and mess + aim assist make some situations better than next gen, up close get a bit framey but it easy and when eye adjust after some match its fine.

Yeah I have a PS4 friend tried playing with him last week - we got farmed. Whenever I see an enemy I know they're there and try shooting them but recoil messes up my aim. I think in Overwatch, the other game I play regularly I played the character who has recoil (soldier) and I don't have problems. I think i'll go in the practice range before I go on today and hopefully get at least a kill in pubs, that's the state of play here 🙂

@hype_f0rce Soldier 76 doesn't have that much recoil tho does he? Are you playing with the joysticks (joycon or whatever they're called) or a controller?
