@Axs5626Sxa5001 There are a few problems with your post.
1. What's the current formula for SBMM? For the skill brackets? How is the distribution of players across all skills levels? Usually, in order to change something, you need to know what it is first, to determine where it goes wrong.
2. Even if you know the perfect formula, for it to work as intended you need thousands of players in your queue, of all skill levels, to reduce the skill difference within each group of 60 players that form up a lobby. That translates to millions of concurrent players at most times, not just after major updates.
3. There are way too many variables that affect the experience and a lot of them are out of our control. There's no formula to reduce lag and certainly none for making the gaming experience feel exactly the same on all devices.
Personally, I don't see any reason to change the formula, because it will most probably feel the same or even worse. The best thing to do is always trying to improve things on your end in terms of skill, mindset, connectivity, hardware, ergonomy, etc..

@DoYaSeeMe
Correct me if I’m wrong, but is your official response that you wouldn’t change the current SBMM?
That’s an interesting stance if so— one I didn’t expect someone to take. I think if we could magically poll the entire playerbase, most would say that the current structure needs to change— even if they don’t know exactly how.

- 4 years ago@Axs5626Sxa5001 Yep. I enjoy the current lobbies as they are. Have only solo queued for the past few seasons and I still find it enjoyable. I like the variation of players I get, it challenges me to adapt to all sorts of situations from carrying noobs to trying to keep up with preds. I prefer this to having the same experience over and over again, by playing with similar players at all times. Also, I don't care much about stats like K/D and damage, worrying too much about them ruins the fun.
I'm aware of my limitations. I'm only at 60 fps and have to play on a rather small desk, off peak times, without being able to use a microphone. Also, I can't play for more than 2-3 hours at a time. My PC is rather old and suffers from performance issues (like ugly input lag), while my connection is not that great. Although my network is stable, the delay varies between 50-80 and I think there's a point in between these values where I lose an entire update's worth (which is like 50 extra ms) and this affects the experience greatly.
There's nothing that can be done on EA/Respawn's side regarding the above and I'm pretty sure a lot of people are having the same issues but don't realize it, as they don't have the technical knowledge, so they naturally blame the developer.
