I can't find a friend for my Apex Gift

I think this might be hitting it on the head. I tried gifting to my best bud (we are both Sony players) when gifting was first introduced, but I couldn't find him on a list to do so. I just kind of gave up on the whole idea and haven't tried since.

Bundle locking has made skins too cost prohibitive for me to consider most of the time.
