I found the loot!!

For E-District it is really simple to know where to drop for loot!

the brighter the lights the more loot.

Its all along the edges.

very little in the center around the weenie.

the problem is it’s all along the edges and very few want to drop so far from the center that they spend half the match fighting the storm.

when I say along the edges I mean literally along the 5 meter wide path that is the edge.

E-Dist is an envelope shredding map where respawn has shown they can take the limits much further than before. It’s really a work of art, TBH.

but it’s too large for the 60 player BR game mode. If the game can handle 90 in a match they might want to consider it. Otherwise when it goes out of rotation for updates, I would recommend removing 25% of one side (like make it drop into the water due to an earth quake?) and push more loot inward.

  • @MrGreenWithAGun Yep, well said. Whenever I'm jumpmaster I always play edge on this map. Not only that, in ranked your rp is almost always higher because the hot droppers don't even know where you are yet and you tend to fight later than them, meaning you survive longer. The edge parts like Old Town and the one with the pond and waterfalls have always been luckier for me for loot. However, even some of those can burn you on some drops, but you usually do better than the center ones or those tall buildings.

Also, yeah, they need to redesign this map bad, with less dead space and make less running necessary.
  • @MrGreenWithAGun Yeah the few lit pois are the only ones with decent loot. It's fine if the ship starts near there but if it's end of the ship it's quite boring.

Here we go again with the StormPointization of the game. That map was never too big. Players were too impatient. And lazy. The maps do not all have to be built around "x number of engagements per minute." This isn't an arena shooter. Players who crave engagement can hot drop and get their fix without having to compromise the experience of the patient edge dropping methodical looter and placement junkie.

As for pushing the loot inward, I'm all for it. And enriching the entire loot pool at the same time. What's available at the edge, or at the bright lights, or anywhere on this map, is still woefully anemic.
