I got a new headset and wow

@DarthValtrex can you tell if they're coming from above or below? I can tell left from right but I can't tell if the footsteps are coming from above me or below me.

@Daze623 The few situations I've been in yeah I could tell if they were above or below.

@DarthValtrex What kind did you get? I wish they'd just let me use regular bluetooth headphones. Once I get the Sony XM3 or XM4s I'll see if they'll let me use those as a headset.

I’ve been on high end headsets from the beginning. I never had any trouble knowing where enemies are... and then Apex S3 came and all sounds are just weird. When it works it works. When it doesn’t, you’ll know...

but if you come from a ‘bad’ headset, oh yea you’re opening up a world...

@Daze623 The game doesnt have 3d sound so no headset will give you above and below sound. The only way to know above or below is awareness of surface sounds, if the surfaces are different.

@DarthValtrex I've had arctis 5s for awhile. Love mine. The people I've been playing games with for years said the microphone on these sounds way better.

@Daze623 I use Hyper X head set and i can say without a doubt its best ive used on apex legends. I pick up sounds that get me accused of having wall hacks cause i can hear running in the distance and what direction.

People always yell at me saying the games sound is horrible im sitting over here like when where? Thats why when i post on the forums of someone running up on me and im not hearing it then i know its 100% game related which is very very slim this happens.

People quick to blame the game and not their cheap head sets. I dropped 120 for mine and best headset ive ever owned. I also run 2 programs that help with settings of sounds Sonic Studio being one.

@hayhor I beg to differ. I can 100% tell if someone is below or above me simply by footsteps. Even looting at that i can tell above or below.
