I only hear negative voices now around Apex…

@KelRiever Definitely hear you on this. Some older characters and their are not really helpful for the team especially. I think the way they’ve buffed and nerfed legend abilities has created more of an imbalance than a balance to an extent, and if that’s not the best way to describe it then it’s at least detracted for the usability and even fun of using some of the lesser picked legends.

I’d love to see how the game would play if they changed it so that every character was the most OP version of their abilities pre-nerf/post-buff for instance Crypto stays how he is now with the extra controllability of the drone as I think this is probably the best he’s been but have Lifeline with her revive-shield, Path’s original ability parameters/cool-down etc. (Hope I explain what I mean here well enough to understand)

It would be fun to experience.

I just have barely ever used these forums and I came here to post now because right now I’m seeing what I’m seeing and talking about in my post to the extent I felt like posting something about it whereas until now I haven’t. It really is that simple. I’ve been registered here for a while because it’s an EA forum and I’ve played EA games for a while. I have probably been here even longer than that on maybe other, older accounts too that I’ve forgotten about or forgotten details for. I’d imagine so because like I said, it’s an EA forum, over the years I’ve played a lot their games so it would make sense that this was the case. There’s also the fact that most often when you post anything in a forum like this you get responses from people like yourself who take the post, read it, read between the lines, add a little extra, twist a little bit here and there to make it fit their own narrative so they can make it something they else can disagree with and oppose rather than the post just being taken at face value and just meaning exactly what it actually says. I even had a response here (not sure if it was you) that suggested my post means everyone should just say great things about Apex and praise it and says everything is amazing. I never even suggested that at any point but someone found a way to make that up for themselves and reply like it was real. It literally sums up the exact mindset of folk that do the kind of whinging and creating fictional angles on things just to have a new thing to complain about that my post was talking about.

People nowadays seemingly just love to complain all day, every day. It’s tiring.

I’m open to understanding things, it’s great to get other people’s opinions too. I posted now because I was wondering if it was just me noticing the uplift in this type of content and conversation around Apex lately or whether others had noticed this spike as well.

I also can see those things that you talk about that are a problem and can see the actions being taken being seemingly (pretty much undoubtedly) being driven by only corporate greed. Cosmetics and store updates dropping regularly, bugs with cosmetics being fixed almost instantly while bugs that affect playability take a backseat. I see that and I get that. It’s not new though. For me, I’m just as tired of seeing vids and posts of complaining as I am of seeing paid-for cosmetic content drops take precedence over QOL updates. I want my next-gen update with 120 frames on console. I want cross-prog. I want matchmaking fixed. I want bug fixes. I want the game to feel and play better. I want new features and experiences. I want better content drops and better prices. I want heirlooms to offer more and cost less. The things wrong with Apex annoy me too but the constant whinging I am seeing right now which seems to be at an all-time high annoys me more.

I’ve barely touched this new Wintertide event because it’s so lacklustre; the drab, thoughtless and empty recolours and the fact that barely any of the items available are really any good. I unlocked the Havoc skin with crafting metals. That’s the only item I’ve even bothered with.

I get that things need to be said to be heard and that we need EA and Respawn to take notice but a lot of what I see complained about is either not even an overall problem in the first place or, and this is what gets me the most - it’s had to be reached for so hard and twisted so wildly that the actual complaints being made are just “extra” complaints for complaining’s sake with literally zero constructiveness, foundation or even in many instances common sense. This just swamps the real problems that we really do need fixing until we just have this huge lake of nonsensical crap with all of the real, justified and worthwhile issues hidden in amongst it.

We probably agree on most things we have thoughts about in this game but I just cba with the constant, never-ending slew of whinge and right now I don’t seem to be able to avoid it as there is so much of it. You seem to be really annoyed that I’ve even posted something, almost like you’re offended. Rather than maybe try to understand my POV you want to just oppose it out of hand. Maybe something I said somewhere you have taken personally or misunderstood or you’ve determined your own opinion around what I mean by it, I dunno and tbf I don’t really care enough to want to know and that too would be worthless and a waste of time to consider. It’s a little bit weird to me though ngl but you know, you do you fella 👍
