You are calling the same thing in two different names
a) fast progress where you go from one level to another and slice through lobbies no matter the level = infinite progress
b) slow progress through practice and beating your previous PRs etc. = it is AGAIN infinite progress
What people don’t realize or accept is that they have to face the severe reality that at one point you will hit the wall and you will NOT get over it. Game wise – you will hit say Diamond 4 and the only way to get to Diamond 3 for you will be hacks because this or that factor be it you or be it others, the game.
That’s the reality yet people just keep ignoring it and keep imagining “progress”.
See e.g. Quake scene – pro players there have been there for DECADES, new faces have come and they lost despite showing some signs of potential, great plays, in the end, they lost to Rapha and those odd wins are there but at the same time, no one disputes Rapha’s status.
For most people that is boring, but the reality is what it is and the only person who can flex is Rapha, rest even if they do win an odd game/tournament vs him shouldn’t.
That comes to my conclusion - unless you come up with some breakthrough change in your game, at some point all the games you play (assuming competition is on the same level) should become those “average games” no one flexes about. If you do have a game where you highly exceed these stats, WHILE doing the same thing you did yesterday or a season before, the variable factor here is matchmaking, lobby skill level which you should not flex about, because you know that the next 10, 100, 1000 games will be again just average.
I take information what “pro” players with the grain of salt. Why? Because we all have heard those advice from various life situations be it:
- go get a good education and you will earn millions (in reality most of the world struggles with student loans and well-paid jobs)
- eat well, get enough protein and sleep and you will become an elite bodybuilder (in reality now all of those people say that steroids did most of the work)
- train for hours in pubs and aim trainers and you will get godlike aim (in reality there are cases where game developers call out pro players and ask them to stop hacking so bluntly, there are cases where people are publicly caught representing well-known organizations again by hacking even in competitions in LAN)
In Apex I hear all of those things and yet I see in streams that the most impact on their game is done by a) set squad b) grinding what comes to ranked b) crazy beaming … I make conclusions and compare what I see (facts) vs what they preach (questionable information/matter of trust). As one Predator in Apex (kudos to him) said to me in Discord – sorry man, I will not let you in on “how I do it”, I don’t need extra competition.
That is all good and dandy but if you are faced with a set squad who just focuses on you, you are dead, no matter your movement or zipping because those players will just stick together and beam you 1v2 or 1v3. All those fancy moves are mostly working on lower ranked people who panic or are disoriented and lose track of teammates, spread apart and give you 1v1 1v1 and 1v1 instead of 1v3. And all “pros” give this tactics as the main and only way to win – isolation. If you don’t, you are dead given competition are not way too weak.
Show me the clip of your highest rank lobby game where you pull it off and we can continue this discussion. I have not won a single 1v3 in the Diamond lobby, I lost most of my 1v1s there to be honest, the situation only improves in this factor when I am in Platinum lobbies when most ex-diamonds are already in Diamond ones.
I have dropped 5 20 bombs in plat lobbies and have made it to pred. I once was a complete bot to where pubg was the first game i ever played on pc in the fps world. Then I found apex. I was a complete bot. It took me many games to get where I am today. I watched I learned. I made mistakes i learned from those mistakes i won a fight i learned a new tech to out smart a team. It does not come over night. @hayhor and Darth can both tell you that my movement when im in my groove is quite insane to where im very hard to kill.
As for ranked today I do not play ranked anymore. It for me is not fun or nothing like it use to be. I do not find it fun to play the edge of the ring and there are 8 teams alive on final ring closer. That is not fun for me its chaos. For that reason i mostly only play pubs other than going to plat every season solo for giggles. Feel free to watch my stream sometime to see my movement tech. I am not as good as i use to be due to my stroke but i still give most players a run for their money.

@E9ine_ACI hear people do nothing but complaining and saying ranked score needs fixed..I just made diamond from bronze 4 in 6 days..haven't played ranked since I hit master few seasons back I just wanted to see if it was the "sweat lobbies" everyone said it was..had 8 days left in this season heck I could have moved onto master..but you make a good point fighting an getting better at movement is as or more important than gun skill..and practice hip fire alot..zip line jump into a room from above or below slide in hip fire an move side to side makes all the difference.. I love when people aim an shoot almost standing still lol

@E9ine_ACwell from what I just read you are just confirming what I am preaching here:
- your max potential / wall was(or maybe still is) Pred
- you are flexing about 20 bomb in Platinum = 3+ levels below your skill wall
- not sure if you mean that you took out 2 teams 1v3 in a row in ranked, public with skills like yours = again, no flexing please
- you are getting fun from slicing through lobbies while "8 teams in final ring" is too not fun or I would call it not easy enough even for Pred like you
Typical Apex pred, just add hacking along the way and then I will given you a badge of an honorable typical Pred in Apex 🙂
Thanks for sharing though. - Eshshshss4 years agoSeasoned Ace
@iGRAPPLE83another one flexing for nothing.
I did not play FPS for 15 years and I hit P4 in my first split in Apex, by the 4th full split in Apex I was D4, progress since then - zero, still D4 without any potential to go further until I find a team.
Does it mean something? In my opinion only one thing - from the get go and my previous experience I was just better than all B4-P1 ranked players in Apex (who could not get to D4 even when playing for it) and that is a lot of people, because I just had 4000+h in FPS before and good foundation, knowledge how FPS work, plus competitive focus on the game not to just have fun.
Reach Masters in 14 days and then will talk man, Ex-master flexing on sub D4... weak. - 4 years ago@Eshshshss You are flexing about the fact you do not flex, good flex bro.
- 4 years ago@Eshshshss Lol I wasn't flexing I was talking about people saying ranked needed to be changed on how u earn points but it only took me 6 days to reach d4 from b4..and how movement was important because in season 1 an 2 I was a .80 k/d player but now with practice I've hit master in season 8 an now have a 2.46 k/d.
- E9ine_AC4 years agoHero+@Eshshshss Well you see I forgot to mention that I did this in season 3. Not now. It is no flex. I just stated what you say was impossible is very possible if someone puts in the time to make it possible. When I made my climb it was not going against underskilled players. I was playing at my skill level which they rose to the top as well. Those games were just a fluke of luck tbh. It is not often you just get that 1 lobby every now and again that seems a tad easier than normal. Over all I am more stating that you said going against a 1v3 was not possible if being focused. I explained for myself it was and how i learned to do it.

@iGRAPPLE83you are still flexing my man. The fact that it takes you, me or anyone else to get from A to B rank does not mean that you have to flex and argue that lobbies are easy and people who think otherwise as wuss.
They are for you. But up to a point of D4 or 10k Masters, and then wheat... you ain't even Pred some Pred might say... does it make life easier for anyone who is not even D4 or for me where I see no sight of going through D4 soloq while up to this point it was kinda an easy(-ish) way for me?
When you get to D4, Masters or any other level and play there for a while being stuck, let's see what you have to say about the ranked system and points.
I have K/D of 0.4-0.5 in all seasons and I am D4. Means nothing yet again as there are so many aspects why I have it 5 times less and yet our difference in skill 100% is not 5x.
Keep flexing on "kids" 🙂 be a hero of this community. If you would be a more decent human being you would coach people for free on how to get to Masters yet that takes a bit more than 2.46 K/D, its easier to flex. - Eshshshss4 years agoSeasoned Ace
@E9ine_ACI did not say it was impossible or something. I am still talking about flexing about the fact.
Geez...translate.google.com in case English is not your native language or main foreign one, or read more books to get the idea man, learn how to listen to other people and what they say.
I will remind you that my dialogue started after Cheezeman posted his fun, good game of killing 25% of a lobby with his team and I found it neither fun, nor something that indicates his skills, nor benefits the community.
And we keep talking how moral it is to post such screenshots idolizing such unfair games = what community here calls flexing.
Same goes to your fact about going to Pred and landing 20 bomb in Plat (while having Pred potential or actual skill level) and iGrapple man's brag about 6 day sweep and 2.46 k/d. It's all just flexing.Secondary point was about whether you can ask people/teammates to win their 1v1 always/most of the time and how that correlates with Apex matchmaking and games like the posted one.
