I still find it strange why we can't have map selection

When map rotation first came out we only had trios, ranked and a few LTM's were added from time to time. Many complained about map rotation and we were told there's not enough players to have map sel...

@Marge010 The argument that a map selection feature would increase the queue-times and that there are too few players is just wrong.
Other games (like CSGO) gives the players the option to select multiple maps that they wish to play, and they will end up with either one of the selected. This way you could queue for only one map if you really want just that one, or you could queue up for any map if the faster queue-time is whats important for you.

    @Godisbullen That argument is basic math. Each choice is a split. 4 maps would split a waiting queue in 4, which would obviously increase queue times. Off peak hours, the wait could increase more than 4 times for some players and make the SBMM which so many already complain about totally ineffective. This would result in a lot of players leaving, thus increasing the waiting times even further. Titanfall 2 is a good example, with so many interesting game modes that are ded because there aren't enough players.

      I have come to a conclusion that it's the reason why so many poor players are in Ranked as they want to play Storm Point all the time.I know it's why I am in ranked anyway 😃

      @DoYaSeeMe I'm not suggesting map selection for all 4 maps, just 2. This season we can only play storm point and worlds edge, why not have map selection for just those 2 maps this season? With so many game modes available at the moment there's still barely any queue time. Get rid of arenas and give us map selection

        @Marge010 If there are only 2 maps you can select then I agree that it wont affect queue times. And yes I couldn’t care less for arenas too. I love how all the arena maps look, I just wish that it’s a different mode like TDM.

      @DoYaSeeMe I'm guessing you didn't really read my comment.. If the players were allowed to select multiple maps that they wanted to play, the queue-time would not increase 4 times unless you only selected to queue up for one map. But even if that was the case, I'm sure that a lot of players would come back if they could select the maps that they wanted to play.
