I wish I could have RP forgiveness for teammates with no common sense

Question

All week, all freaking week, it’s one of this cycle:

-lone teammate insists on taking a riskier route to the ring and we get killed

-lone teammate wants to land on the other side of the map from you (probably some wannabe twitch celebrity that thinks he can take on half the map or has no strategy skills)

-lone teammate goes charging into a small room or platform with a full squad in there

-lone teammate wanders off 200+m, gets downed, then spam pings to be revived

and the matches I can actually get kills from the rare time I do get a competent team…the server freezes up, like cmon man. I thought it was bad enough I was getting paired with sub-100 level players in gold somehow (I’ve been a 500 player for like 2+ years) but in plat, I just have teammates with no common sense and I’m tired of getting held back for it. If the game itself isn’t somehow favoring players in my lobbies, then idk what else to say, but it’s just frustrating getting constantly shafted in matchmaking.

@DaDeDimson That's just Apex or probably most online shooters regardless of the mode 😂! You're gonna have no sense TMs. Especially solo queueing.

@DaDeDimson I think its the last week of the season syndrome. I'm average skill and can usually get a kill or 2 consistently but not this week. Even when I don't have a random much worse than me I get focused by 1 or more 3 stacks and die instantly. I think I'll just skip Apex this week and log in after S14 drops.

@HappyHourSumwur    I and my best friend typically feel this too, and often we decide to take a solid break from Apex after completing the BP.  This season's end has gone quite well for me by contrast.  I was able to push my KDR above my goal in the last two weeks.  Even queuing with my buddy in his high end lobbies, I've been doing OK (but still using my alt account for this so as not to risk my stats tanking).

This has always been the most frustrating part about playing ranked. Especially the last week or two of a season. I cannot, for the life of me, get paired with a squad that has a brain for common sense or tactics. On top of that, I’ll be paired with a diamond 4 who brings a plat 4 into a diamond lobby, basically turning it into a duo or solo team since the other two are friends who ride together and die together. It gives me zero option to convince them of a better strategy. The times I was demoted back to plat 1, I would be paired with nobody higher than plat 4. Hate to say this, but tier 4 is nowhere compared to the skill level of tier 1 at any division. Every game I have more kills and more damage than both of my teammates. Sometimes more than both teammates combined. I suggest that there only be a 1 tier difference when pairing squads together. For example, plat 1 can only be paired with plat 2 or diamond 4. Also, the demotion system is useless. It sounds good, but just doesn’t work. Players either give up or try hard and get killed when they are facing demotion. It’s like a free ticket to get away with playing recklessly. What’s it to them if they can’t reach diamond 3 or plat 3. They just demote because they might have a chance to reach plat or diamond again. I suggest they just have players reach the next division and if they can’t handle it have them drop down as if they lost a tier. If a player isn’t good enough to be in diamond, they should drop to plat 1. Who cares if they bounce between diamond 4 and plat 1. At least they won’t be ruining the experience for players that actually have a chance to move up in the ranks. These reckless players catalyze opportunities to advance for players that actually use their brains. I’ve been within 100 points from diamond 3 two different times already when I squad up with at least one friend. And, both times I have lost hundreds of points and, I have been demoted once so far, all because when I queue solo, I am paired with horrible players that think they are masters at playing the game. Unfortunately, my work schedule doesn’t coincide with the friends I could be playing with to reach higher ranks, and I'm punished every time I don’t play with a friend.&nbsp;

@STAGGA22 Finally, someone who I can relate to from top to bottom. Exactly, my friends and I’s schedule don’t coincide either, so the whole “just play with friends” idea doesn’t suffice on my end much either. I had a friend of mine tell me in the last few months that I was off of it, that it got tougher and what not, but not really. Yeah, they raised the RP and added demotion, but if anything the lobbies aren’t any tougher, I’ve just gotten the bottom of the barrel type of teammates because the game hates me (I genuinely think this game screws me on purpose lol).

But yeah, I wish there was more RP forgiveness for multiple layers of the game but there’s no way to judge stupidity other than it being from the players themselves unfortunately.
