Hey I cant thank you enough! This game is so fun, exactly the game I needed in my life. Its really awesome, thanks for letting me know about it, I need to keep track of that Fortnite engine games from now, because those can be really beter than Fortnite itself. 🙂
This game is so satysfying and fun I dont even mind when I loose, best thing is to kick someone from tall building and steal his chicken, I love it! :D
I still recommend destiny for a change of pace. Tons of story and lore, super fun pve (for the love of God stay away from pvp crucible, iron banner, and trials of Osiris if you value your sanity.)
All three light sub classes were updated to the 3.0 status offering ability customization. There's Tons of fun grinding. There's a new season, season of plunder, involving two new season long LTM, quests, and story involving alien pirating. And next year a dlc that has me hyped as a huge lore nerd.
- @DK9027 Read my mind. Loving the new season so far. I'm tempted to just drop Apex all together. It's just become "silly", and off putting, to put it politely. Even the forums are a ghost town compared to what they were. So many left. Same old stuff I've read 1000 times. Boring.
- @Sand_spitter I'd try looking around the creators corner. A lot of imaginative people there coming up with legend, weapon, and occasionally map concepts. I for one am nearing the end of my whole project. Just four more concepts to jot down, work on them, then post and I'll be done with the last have of then final part.
Over two years of hard work, story writing, and world building and then I'm finally done. I've put my heart and soul into it. Maybe I'll try my hand at a season of Destiny afterwards. The next Destiny 2 expansion (Lightfall) will finally get rid of power level it seems. Which is good, it was an arbitrary gatekeep to activities.
There is a great story there, problems are:
- They have always done TERRIBLE at making it clear where you go next to advance it. When I first started playing (in the Red War days) I wandered the EDZ for months because I had no idea what to do, but it was still fun to explore.
- The Developer Who Shall Not Be Named (who is no longer in a role to ruin this more, at least) came up with the idea of "vaulting" both guns AND THE FREAKING SINGLE PLAYER STORY CAMPAIGNS when they got too old. So, no, Red War and Forsaken (which was an awesome story in it's own right) are not available to new players. For all intents and purposes, the story now starts with Shadowkeep (which is still good, I loved it, creepy as * and got me thru the first year of the Pandemic).
At least now they have admitted and they are working on:
- Making it easier to find the next story beat.
- They will no longer vault any story expansions.
- They are also trying to put more lore in the gameplay and cutscenes, rather than in digital books you read (that make it hard to know what order these happened in).
Oddly, as disjointed as it can be, I still feel Destiny 2 respects my time a LOT more than Apex.
- @Kyldenar I would love apex more if they did more with the story.
It's disjointed, new legends aren't the stars of the seasonal story and take a back seat to others or aren't involved at all, there's little character development.
I know for a br that things are probably be limited. But I'd think they could di better than this
I still say seer is objectively boring lore wise for no real conflicts.
- @DK9027 I haven't been on Destiny 2 in quite a while, but I need to get back on there! I'll have to see what the current meta even is, as I'm sure most of my weapons are now useless, Lmao! I always have a blast playing, but I wish I had some friends that played, because 100% of my playtime is solo
- @dSKyNafinchin There is no better time than now. The latest expansion, Witch Queen, along with 2 or 3 older ones are all free to play for the week in case you don't have them yet. You can easily farm great weapons this way, especially ones that are otherwise unavailable to you 🙂

Is Destiny 2 any good ? Or is it something else ? Its free to play on Epic now and I wonder if I should try it or not. I dont really understand Destiny 2 from gameplay video I watched for few minutes, is it like Tarkov or something like that ? Id love game like Tarkov.- @Awhoo_Thunder Destiny is a fantastic game. Coming from bungie who gave us halo is merit on its own, but Destiny' story is one of the most phenomenal stories I've come across in video games.
If you like good story, weapons with insane perks, and summoning paracausal abilities that rival a God then youll like Destiny.
Try checking out mynameisbyf on YouTube the lore is explained in great detail. - @Awhoo_Thunder I've been a huge fan of Bungie ever since Halo first hit the scene, and I love Destiny as well. It is a massive open-world FPS multiplayer game, with lots of different places to explore/grind and different modes to play. I'm pretty sure the actual game is free, so it's definitely worth checking out sometime, if that sounds interesting to you! I haven't played or seen Tarkov, so I'm not sure if it's similar
Destiny 2 is a horrible, abusive affair I've found, much like Destiny 1. Pretty much it's a puzzle you pay money for every 3 months only to have it solved for you on YouTube, and then you grind it with 2-5 other people who get mad at you if you keep missing a particular jump through a hoop or don't have the proper weapon loadout, etc. I'd rather do WarFrame, which is 'free' but you'll probably buy stuff. Even when you do, however, it still costs less then Destiny which Money Gate Blocks you every quarter.
However, I'm going to try the OP's suggestion at the new BR game. It's not even that I'm so down on Apex because I've been down on it for a long time, thus Season 14 is just a continuation of the bad. Nevertheless, if something is better, than so be it. I can't fathom Apex fixing it's ranked problem in any time frame that matters.
