I'm rookie IV and I need 1k LP for every division
is it normal that I get 3-4 kills a game but die early and get 7 points max and still get minus -42 and also there is an entry fee of 50 every game is that normal in rookie ? I need help please

Cause I see in the Rank information hub that you start off with -35 LP entry cost and then the higher the rank you are in, the more you pay off entry fee. I'll take a look again later (unless Respawn changed it and made patches)I have no problem with people losing ranked points if they don't finish top 10.
But for sure kills should count for more when you do, because the grind is too much on number of games you play, now.
Ranked is extremely grindy. I understand the problem last season was too easy to get to Diamond and Masters, but Respawn can control that with a variable scale, based on number of players, rather than have it be fixed. They could do that with all ranks, really but it's a bad idea if you don't scale both finishing top 10 and make kills worthwhile to do it.
Last season it was too easy to rank up, this one it is too hard with grind.Again, this is a headache because people want to take ranked seriously and then combine that with Battle Royale, an idea that, when formed, was completely for just having a good time and not a main format.
I always find it funny how something like Control is considered a secondary format now, and the most ludicrous game mode...send 20 teams in, see who comes out 1st...is something people want to be all serious faced about.
You don't have a problem withh that but we do!! Rank is not a tournament and even tournaments reward the losers look at ALGS point reward system and monetary rewards.
You get positive points from each and all kill regardless of your placement..
You may not see a problem there but there is one actually because if 50% of the lobby don't make points it means 50% played for nothing... they don't want to play anymore
they find the game pointless and a waste of time. Staying alive by hiding and avoiding fighting is not a valuable skill... it is a pretty mediocre skill so that means you keep
rewarding this mediocre skill and punishing those who actually want to participate in the killing of teams to win. That also means that less players will enjoy the game and your numbers
will go down as well as your revenue.
There is no reason to go that route... not for skill not for increasing the player base either.
Technically, the entry free IS -35 but it's very oddly worded. The entry free is now factored into the amount of LPs you get depending on your finishing position. So for 15-20 it's -15, plus -35 fee = -50. For 11-14 it's +5 (-30) and 9,10 +35 (0).
It's unnecessarily confusing.
- @EdwardDLuffy Yes so really the fee is -50. Cause if you die early that is what you lose. I do not care how it is worded.
