I gotta play devil's advocate here, do you think it's unfair to people:
- with no scroll wheel on their mouse that you went out and bought a third party mouse that has a scroll wheel.
- what about the Nvidia GeForce experience some people get better frames using that should we remove the ability to use that?
- What about a VPN some people get a better ping with it is it unfair cause that's also third party software and makes the game smoother
- Let us not forget about Visolve I use it for colour blindness, should we remove it so that only the games options for colour blindness are available.
- etc. etc. so on and so forth...
Tbh I'm just bored, also I'm pretty sure anti micro isn't considered cheating, you can configure your controller on steam to input just about anything including kb+m inputs and that's the platform the game is on. @Scarrletsix
- @lKogitsune_marul Yes those are also 3rd party softwares xD i was starting to get tilted on some of the guys above bragging about this beeing unfair, and someone thinking something is unfair is irrelevant in this scenario when what im talking about is possible on m&k wich is allowed.
Wait what can u add keyboard binds on ur controller with steam?? Actually didn't know that. @ScarrletsixYou still have to scroll it manually, it's not like the system is doing it for you. I use scroll down for jumps, it helps with timing a lil bit but that's about it. There is a big difference between using scroll vs setting up a macro.
The tap strafe does seem a lil off to me. Changing direction 180 degrees completely without losing momentum should not be possible. It's more of a 'patch the game thing' than remove the ability to bind scroll wheel.
I have already said it, setting up one tap as multiple taps is cheating, plain and simple.- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@Scarrletsix Paddles can be used as far as i know as it offers no real advantages over other people other then mapped keys as far as i know anyhow. When comes to say a strike pack to do this then it is cheating. Those can grant recoil counters and rapid fire.
Normally I would say it should not matter if you are mapping keys a different way, I map all my keys differently on KB than standard wasd.
But I do it using what is supported by the game.
You are talking about using a 3rd party mapper.
Antimicro is made for games that don't have gamepad support which Apex clearly has.
So I can see this not being allowed also as it opens the door for a lot of other things.
But you would need to have someone from EA/Respawn respond, no one here can legit tell you, you won't be banned.
- @Scarrletsix Yes, you are not seeking anybody’s advice, you are just asking a question about whether you will be banned or not. The question of being fair to other players is irrelevant. This shows that you are trying to ignore one thing that actually matters. What are the reasons for banning players? That's because players acted unfairly to other players. When you are asking if you will be banned from using third-party software, whether Respawn will ban you depends on whether the third-party software is fair to other players.
So being unfair to other players is one of the key points for you to raise this question! Secondly, of course you can reject any opinions you don’t want to hear, but in fact, when you raise a question that may lead to controversy, it will naturally attract criticism, and you cannot reject this part.
To @lKogitsune_marul
I think your example is very funny, Because you think I raised a small matter to a seriousness. But the problem is that some players have high-configuration computer equipment and a good network. These conditions are in line with Apex Legends' game requirements. And not every player can play well if you give him these high configurations.
Moreover, players with poor configuration and poor network choose to continue playing this game. There is no unfairness. It is Respawn’s job to determine what level/conditions of players should gather in a game. This work has been done very badly, and you can know it by experiencing SBMM.
Even if it is possible to reach a consensus that this is not a cheating. But considering that he wants to play easier than others. Then he wants to use third-party software that does not comply with the rules and is worried that he will be blocked. I have enough reason to think that he is unfair to other players. - @LaTencyBuLLyMe then they should just nerf the whole movement technique if it's not possible for all players. Cause thats also "unfair". Nuffsaid
Just play the game normally and you will be fine. If you need to ask if it's bannable or not then maybe you shouldn't do it in the first place. Those who seek an advantage over others with 3rd party programs are those who hard hit their skill ceiling and that's just sad.
- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@Scarrletsix Eh each platforms offers advantages. PC gets better movement consoles and switch get aim assist. I'll trade my movement for your aim assist any day of the week.
- @E9ine_AC That scenario is irrelevant because of the reason the aim assist exist, but sure, i accept the trade easy.
