Is anyone else having difficulty with snipers?

It’s insanely difficult to land shots, i had a shot lined up on a stationary legend and nothing. It’s almost as though the precision required for snipers has been increased. That would be alright if ...

@SheepsKing The weird part, the Sentinel is my strongest sniping gun. Perhaps that's my issue? Maybe I got used to the bullet drop and speed of the Sentinel and can't adjust to the other sniping guns.. It would also explain why I do decent with Kraber. I had a 8 kill game in duos with a Kraber a few weeks back.

I just find the sentinel to be a pointless gimmick personally lol, they literally just added it to incorporate a bolt action into the standard loot pool.

The whole point of a bolt action over a semi auto sniper is for it to have superior damage per shot due to the rechamber action after each round....and the sentinel just doesn't fill that gap, even with the added disruptor round function which has its own set of problems.

It's not a terrible sniper.....there's just no reason to pick it up over a longbow lol.

@MandatoryIDtag It's a strange one, I didn't use the sentinel much until recently, It's not really like the other snipers. You have to think of it like a primer weapon, get a shot with disruptors and then push in with something else once their shields are down.

It's especially good against Evo Shields

  @Cabowse This is kinda the point I'm trying to make.
  That's not how a Bolt action is supposed to behave, that's how a DMR should function lol.
  It would have made more sense to rebalance the longbow and have the sentinel as the sniper with ranged supremacy.
  But hey ho..it is what it is.
  I still think a precision choke triple take is the better mid range sniper option. 😛

    @MandatoryIDtag we used to use the Sentinel religiously but I used it due to the fact that it was bolt action. It was just such a satisfying gun to use now it's just trash. My go to used to be the Longbow but like you said these days I go for precision choke triple take (that's mostly for the firing speed and the damage tho tbf).
    
    Hell! Way back when I used to main a G7 scout as basically a sniper until they changed it completely.
