Using 3rd party software to alter the game is against the End users Agreement

3. Restrictions:
3.1 You shall not reverse engineer, disassemble, reverse translate, decompile or in any other manner decode the Software except to the extent that the foregoing restriction is expressly prohibited by applicable law notwithstanding a contractual obligation to the contrary. You shall not distribute, loan, lend, lease, rent, share, make available, grant a security interest in, assign, or otherwise transfer the Software. You shall not alter, adapt, modify or create any derivatives of the Software or merge all or any part of the Software with another program. You shall not use the Software for hosting for a third party or operating a service bureau or any other use involving the possession of data by a third party. You shall not use the Software on a server or make the Software available for others to use, or facilitate access to the Software for others. You shall not use the Software in any way that is contrary to applicable law.
Thus meaning yes, it is bannable, and will get you banned.
Technically what he's doing is force modifying the
videosettings.cfg through the Nvidia tool,
and not modifying the core game files
witch is what they are refering too.
You can modify the Videosettings file without
breaking there ToS and I believe that's exactly
what he's doing.
So i say again, unless they say changing
that file is against there ToS, he's most likely
safe from a ban.

You clearly have no idea what i'm talking about, the videosettings.cfg is just that, its a settings
file in your users/NAME/saved games/Apex folder and not a core game file,
editing that is not from what I have seen against the rules.
And that file is what I am guessing he is modifying.
He's not going into the core files, decompiling them
and re working video settings.
But I digress, we will just have to see what Respawn says about it.
If anything.

No, you probably wont. There are certain instances where modifying the game is allowed. One usually being in the graphical settings department. You especially won't get banned if it's not with the intent to have an advantage, and it would be extremely difficult to prove something like this is only used for the purpose of an advantage.
And even that's not true all of the time. Certain mods to the game can be made, and they only have the intent to cause an advantage. I've used this example before, Shroud uses at least one macro when playing. One being to make the Hemlock full auto when set to single fire mode.- 7 years ago
Players in BFV were banned for the same thing.
