Is EA censoring posts?

Yesterday I wrote a post wondering why Russia isn't being sanctioned by prohibiting Russians from playing. Today it appears my post has been deleted. If EA has deleted my post it is totally horrific, is there no longer freedom of speach? This is scary, where are we headed?

  • Like every forum, this one has its own moderators with their own "goals".

Yes, posts, comments are removed, in many cases also edited (at least in such cases they are decent enough to mark it down as "edited").

Unfortunately you can't have both = free forums and 0 censorship. Reddit I guess is the biggest and best example of that = EA blocked me there because I was too active in Apex Legends subreddit :D they were tired of censoring me so they asked reddit admins to block me out entirely :)

  • They can get touchy when gaming intersects with politics. Maybe rightly so?

But no, "free speech" is a constitutional phenomenon, and does not apply to privately owned and operated platforms. Like this one. And even constitutional free speech is not unlimited. Yell "fire!" in a dark and crowded movie theater and you'll find out pretty quickly just what are the limits of free speech.
