These don't help you win, they are put in the game to make money to help support the company. They are wants, not needs.
But the label of a cash grab is just not accurate. This company puts out an amazing game 100% free to play with no in game benefit from cosmetics. I am boggled by how unhappy people can be over cosmetics.
I choose to support the game when I can because they earned it!
@Pure_Funk_NuggetThe only ingame rewards are skins and they managed to include more people by giving you a chance in previous events.
It is 100% accurate. Selling a melee weapon cosmetic at almost 3x the price of a AAA title. (Cash grab - A product designed primarily or solely with the intent of generating profits).
@ColdHoursNot entirely true as they changed the prices after IC but the event structure didn't change for the better.

I liked most of the Iron Crown event skins. Had they been available from the start, priced at $4-8 I might have been tempted to spend quite a bit of money during the event. The Halloween event has 2-3 skins I like, which, again, I would've probably bought at a lower price. As it is I won't get any event skins at any point.
Which is ultimately no big deal, if a tiny bit frustrating. They will have made their calculations and decided that it's more profitable to target folks willing and able to pay the price of multiple full games on cosmetics each event than it is to target me. Their choice. Fair game.
