Isn’t it time EA / Respawn got Ai Anti-Cheat?
The standard Easy Anti-Cheat just isn’t good enough. There’s an epidemic of cheating in Apex, both on PC & console. It’s time to clean up the game.

- @MisterResistor Amazing to me that a AAA title hasn't tried to implement an AI machine learning anti-cheat program like the one referenced in this video. It makes me think that the devs are on the take from the cheat companies, or at least approve of the indirect effect on the poplularity of their games.
@MisterResistor Hey there, Every Anti-Cheat system out there uses AI already. AI is who does all their automated bans among other things. You have to be careful on how much room you give that AI to play with. Overall though AI anti-cheat has been out since they released the first detection systems.
Now you can get more technical with it and program it to do much stronger readings and analyzing but in the end you do not want a machine making judgement on peoples accounts who pay good money on them. Now you can set it to do minimal easy checks and such but its not something I don't think any company would do letting AI alone do all the work. Just my opinion mind you as someone who writes AI.@E9ine_AC What is your opinion of the Ai presented in that YouTube video?
A manual review system could still be utilized alongside an Ai like anybrain.Thanks for your comment!
Agree with your statement re popularity. If there was a highly successful crackdown on cheats then that would decrease the cheater player count & ultimately Apex’s profit in the short-term.
I feel that a FPS game with true competitive integrity featuring a robust, successful Ai anti-cheat would attract a lot more legitimate players & therefore more profit long-term though.

- @MisterResistor Oh im all for advancements in AI and what it can do. But, at this time I do not feel its in a place right now due to not something anyone really has built before to work well. Manuel reviews could work but in the end if it requires manual reviews then there is no need for the AI as its doing nothing already and real people still have to review them. So it can be helpful but I feel that it would not serve a lot of purpose if its still requires people. Not until further advancements come around that is.
A manual review at the request of a player would just be a quick assessment of the evidence AI has gathered. If a player has cheats on their system or AI has picked up multiple instances of unnatural micro adjustments, recorded + logged & compared against their biometric profile, then it’s not a difficult decision imo.
@MisterResistor Well the issue is would it make a mistake. I feel it def would. As an example lets say the AI is designed to detect head shots over a set time frame. But, what the AI cant account for is luck. There are times a player will just have that perfect moment to hit someone with purely headshots. The AI will assume this is cheating verse the consideration of the other players placement what allowed them to be headshot etc. So AI for the most part would only be taking into consideration is it cheating. In the AI eyes they were cheating. In reality they were extremely lucky.
That then forces the AI to question itself or for humans to question the AI if its right or not. It would flag it but there is a lot that has to be taken into consideration other than what did those bullets at that moment do and how did they do it.
