I literally can't hear my own footsteps because my Horizon teammate makes a constant loud cargo bot sound, while music starts playing in the background. How i am supposed to play decently? What is it so hard about not making the music start middle game? How about hiring someone who actually can SOLVE these issues? I'm so sick of this really.

Imagine a game having prevalent audio issues for 8 seasons and no real improvement being made. Meanwhile people be busy moaning because their exclusive skin is being re-released rather than rallying together against ACTUAL issues with the game.Madness.

Apex is using the Miles Sound system,which is also used in over 7200 other games to this day, according to their website. The same site states this: "Designed for the game Apex Legends, we worked to handle an absurdly complex soundscape, with tens of thousands of audio sources and events required by a game of this complexity and polish!". What does this mean? First of all, a very complex system means that some bugs are very difficult, if not impossible to fix. Then, the issues of the sound engine and tools aren't handled by Respawn, but by the devs of Rad Game Tools, the owners of MSS. Respawn can only try to work around the known issues and limitations until RAD devs come up with patches. So, fixing audio will continue to be a very slow process. Some of the bugs will probably stay with Apex forever, regardless of how much cash or manpower is poured into the development. You have to get used to this reality.

@Redmattgame that's called consumption-based economy - no product nowadays is good if it does not break in a predictable time and in turn, generates additional revenue (people repairing or buying a new one).Soon we might have to pay for Apex if we want to play bug free version, otherwise free version might always have bugs like current ones :P Apex poor version :D

@Cro_Pittt I've always gone on and on about how this game would be so much better if the audio was like COD's. One thing that frustrates me so much when playing this game is the lack of audio.You can be completely snuck up on when fighting another squad by a 3rd party to the point where they are literally standing right behind you.It's a feature that I really wish they would sort out. I assume they will eventually change it.

It's impossible to play with this audio.

@Cro_PitttHow about they remove a popular movement feature which has been here since launch instead. A movement tech which so many people spent countless hours practicing and improving on, making it an essential part of their gameplay. That surely sounds like a better idea then actually fixing audio, servers, bugs and banning cheaters and strike pack users, no?
I'm starting to think that those people running the game are actually stacking the odds against it, it's not that they are clueless, it looks to me that they're actively trying to sabotage it in any possible and thinkable way.

Why is it so important to hear my teammates footsteps? Why are they ridiculously loud, yet the enemy teams have none? Why does all the awful annoying sounds in the new areas created in WE so stupidly loud, you know (smoke stakes, gondolas etc...) yet again, enemy footsteps are non-existent?

@Cro_Pittt When there are multiple squads using their abilities at the same time, sometimes the audio just gives up altogether having silent Bangalore ults. The next thing you know, there's another squad behind you without emitting any sound at all. LOL!

@BaldWraithSimp It does. When I play Warzone I can hear where an enemy is exactly but on Apex the precision isn’t there.

@NickBeam27 I completely agree with your comment about the need for hearing your teammates footsteps (or your own) in the game it just adds to the confusion of possible enemies nearby, Apex has many faults in the game but the terrible audio that has never been addressed throughout the 10 seasons has always been one of my main issues with the game.Being unable to detect whether enemy footsteps are above or below you or even if they are in the same building as yourself when the footsteps are loud enough to suggest they are ruins the game (unless you are Bloodhound or Seer using their tactical abilities).

@rockyboy1998 I've had lots of no audio warzone moments. It is the same as apex. If there are a lot of sounds happening some drown others out or your brain focuses on one sound and misses the other.
I've had scenarios in both games where I'm like man no footsteps but then watch it back and there are but I was focused on the other team and all the other stuff going on. I've also had times of nothing in both.
