The problem is those idiots who choose to drop late + bad + meat grinder + solo or uninterested in the squad then gets slapped in half a second for their bad decision then rage quits leaving teammates 1 player down.
But as someone said, when you have a teammate who does that then leaves you solo, you shouldnt be punished for leaving.
I imagine those fools will get weeded out over time as they'll just keep losing and no one will want to play with them.

Similarly if your squad"mate" decides to p off solo and you get slapped, you shouldnt be punished for leaving...
- whether you get downed and cba to wait years to not be revived and not be respawned whilst your squadmate pays it no attention
- or whether you get left solo somewhere across the map and don't want to try rambo the lobby and would rather attempt to play with a together squad.

How embarrassing are we talking? Like number of missed Kraber headshots on a target who isn't even moving? Because that's definitely not something that I've ever done or anything. 🤔

"abandoning" cannot be defined and traced.
how would you judge this: I am Jumpmaster, I pick a spot to land, the other two pick their own spot and land there together. now, who abandoned whom? Is the rule, you follow your Jumpmaster? or is it, follow the majority?
or: Whole team is collecting equipment within a few houses distance. One meets an enemy team and gets downed in 1v3 before the other two can come around. who abandoned whom?
or: Your team starts a fight, then gets flanked by third party. While two team members chose to run and live, third one keeps attacking. Who abdoned whom?

@1ronKeysUnfortunately it doesn't weed them out but the problem is actually getting worse as time progresses.
You will always have those that drop late but it will discourage those that drop solo or who are uninterested in the squad as it will take more time to repeat so more consideration will be placed on the match and fellow players because as things stand it's way to easy to just abandon them and move on to the next. The whole point of the suggestion was to encourage teamplay because getting knocked, finished and respawned is a part of having a successful match.
@asukojoI don't think negative or embarrassing stats will encourage people but I'm all for something that promotes teamplay or helping others.
@EA_KentI can also state I have never ever done this. Ever! 😇 I have. 😳
@Tamyndris That is up for debate.
As to your other 2 examples, it doesn't matter. Different decisions and miscommunication will happen even with the best teams but as long as you stick around while you can be respawned to help your team mid to late game.. that's the focus.
@evandave34Having a team mate with a white shield and an alternator with no meds is a lot more useful than no team mate.
