Lets talk caustic.
Caustic is majorly under-powered, his ultimate does hardly anything compared to other ultimates like Gibraltars, his ability takes too long to activate. In my opinion his ultimate should be his abil...
I like caustic but he's very situational. He's the kinda character you play with an organised group. His gass is weak as hell but if you look at it like a jumped up version of Bangalore's smoke it's not that bad. Infact it works pretty well if you throw the Nox Gas on top of Bangalore's smoke because it makes it harder for the enemy to see which way they have to go to escape it. I've done that a few times with some friends, set traps inside of smoke or had them throw smoke on my traps.
The traps can also block doors. If you set a trap infront of door the enemy won't be able to open it enough to come through, it's good when you and your team are trucking it through buildings to escape, you can block the enemy path. You can also shoot your own traps to set them off which again is good when you're being persued, throw a trap down, have one of your buds shoot it as you all run through and it'll stop the enemy dead in their tracks.
Caustic is a trapper and should be played as a trapper. IF you're running around playing him like a killing machine then you're doing it wrong. He says it himself "I don't care who gets the kill, as long as something dies"
If played correctly, Caustic is an assist machine 100%. Trap your enemies, corner them, funnel them in to a small space with your gass and let your squad clean them up because remember, this game is NOT about kills. You get very little personal exp per kill (It's something like 50exp per kill) the meat of your EXP comes from time survived so do just that, play smart and survive.

Though I agree with this playstyle, I think Apex Legends is too fast paced of a game to play as a trapper, his traps should be smaller to make his traps more viable for actual trapping as any good player would open a door and see the nox trap straight away and leave it alone or run through and try and avoid it.
