Yes, there are some controller players that are so good they can compete with good KBM players— but by and large, KBM has the higher skill ceiling as it is literally a more responsive, intuitive, and precise aiming tool. I mean, aren’t people intrigued as to why controller shooters had aim assist added at all? It’s because aiming with joysticks is a very limited method for aiming.

All these cry babies about the OP aim assist prob have never played on console before to even know how good or bad the aim assist is lmao.
Stop crying its not that it works across all the map, even in close range it doesnt affect the aim that much, it even messes everything up when there is 2 people you can shoot at...
You are all talking like you can just aim to a player and pull down the shoot button and stop aiming, and its not the case, i play with controller and i miss a LOOOOT OF SHOTS i cant even beem someone down with R99, if they are moving even less possible to do.
I did try PC and the accuracy you can get from long range is much better cose you know where your mouse should be to land the shot, opposite to xbox where you have to wait till the cursor reaches the place. And then shoot.
If you cant beat console player hes either realy good , or you are just realy bad.

Noone here who is crying has never tryed playing on console to see how good or bad it is.
- @Fireskelet It is irrelevant how overtuned or not it is. It is automation! Automation has no place in competitive gaming. I don't even care if it sucks the fact that it is there is reason to raise against it...besides there are plenty of evidence and videos showing in what situations it is very effective and that then allows people to tailor their playstyle to take full advantage of it.
No worries though....like someone said the next tour de france winner will get to use an ebike...which is only pedal assist and not very good pedal assist so it's okay right?- @GRiPSViGiL I mean, first and foremost this is a game, and handicapping a good chunk of the playerbase will make the game unpopular.
Besides, even other competitive games like Overwatch have some aim assist.- @Sir_Named Doesn't mean PC gamers need to accept it.
I get it people want to play with friends and not everyone is on the same platform. Just don't call it a competitive game if some form of automation is allowed. Allow all automation, I mean they can't stop AutoHotKey scripts that remove recoil and we all have seen aimbots and wall hacks in PC gaming. It is comedy to me, you can't use this automation over here but you can use this automation here.
Do they even have cash prize official crossplay tournaments? I remember their being a lot of crying when consoles weren't included in the tournaments.
What the hell are you talking about what automation? Its ASSIST not automation that keeps the aim at the player.
It works more like an invissible resistance that appears, only ocasionaly not all the time, on enemie players to help make the first shot.
Noone of you have ever played console and you are crying about this.
And your example is stupid. This can maybe be compared to power steering vs no power steering that old vs new cars have.
Go and play on console before you cry about smth, i dont care if they remove it, i dont feel it helping me. But its just frustrating to see PC players crying about such a minor problem, learn to move more, you have much more advantages on pc...
Also none of you have prob thought that the player beeming you maybe is using M/K on console?
Go and fight for something usseful if you care about the game, that is : normal matchmaking, server fixes, sound fixes( you can hear players across the map fighting) and so on.
- @Fireskelet I DONT F.CKING CARE HOW MANY 'ADVANTAGES' I HAVE ON PC. I bought a PC so i didnt have to play on console anymore or with a controller. I'm TIRED of getting aim assisted by BAD players
yet again i get killed by a level 12 that one mags me with a flatline. I have played in a bunch of diamond lobbies against apex preds on mouse and keyboard and i am telling you controller players consistently laser me more than mouse and keyboard
