Many gifted players with god aim it seems.

There seems to be a large abundance of players that genuinely regardless of rank and placement, level 30, level 200, no badges, or all badges, doesn't matter, they will somehow find a way to hit their full clip onto you without a failure.

Seems a bit strange that someone so gifted at aiming is wasting time playing Apex Legends if you catch my drift.

It's almost like they've been born to play Apex or something clearly, I cannot describe the sheer skill these players have.

It's like I never see someone struggling to not need to reload after they've broken my shields, no, 100 to 0 always unless I find cover.

Every single time, no matter the shield level, no matter the weapon, no matter the Legend, they seem to be very good at everything, especially shooting.

It's almost like fighting against hardcore mode AI, it feels so surreal to come to a player that doesn't know a bit about your existence, and then once a sliver of damage rubs onto them it's like I'm a locked on target and they knew about me all along, suddenly all my health disappears.

Yeah it's really strange.

  • @damsonwhufndthis I feel your pain and there's a few reasons for this:

-Aim assist is really strong in CQC
-People are using Macros and things like Cronus
    -Straight up cheating
-Skill gap of the remaining player base is not that big. People willing to stick around and put in the effort are all that are left. So they tend to be better then average?

Then there's weird mechanics like "aim smoothing". When you strafe while firing, you get less recoil for some odd reason. Not sure I understand the logic on that one. Like most mechanics, they weren't intended, but now are considered "skill". The problem being is that most people using these "skills" are just using macros. Not with wall bouncing, but with super-glides and jitter aim.

It's a fun game when you're playing against what feels like other normal players. It's miserable however when everyone is just lasering you and pre-firing before you ever even peek them. I think there's lot of people just using walls. It's a little harder to detect unless you're just absolutely blatant about it.

On top of all that, you have the weird networking that tries to accommodate all players regardless of their connection quality. Who knows how that gets manipulated.

My advice, try not to take the game too seriously. It's NOT a competitive shooter. It's a casual game that people take way too seriously. People cheat as a result because they're trying to make a name for themselves or whatever.
  • @VersusGravity   it's hard to not take something too seriously while trying your best to win,

what's the point of ranked mode, if there's little to no control over how fair the competition is?

I believe if the ranked mode was actually good, all the laser aim losers would end up with each other in high ranks, and normal players would more or less be acutally able to play in a fair environment, but for some reason that's not what the devs are going to do...

And then the essence of skill or just someone how uses 20 helping things?

YOu are a Rampart ramming down with your ultimate, you shread half of someone's armor and HP, what's their next move?

    THEY RUSH YOU

instead of healing and reconsidering, they turn off brain and just rush you like you aren't holding a gun that can delete them just as fast as they delete me, because they did, because I didn't hit all my shots and they just oneshot me, that's fun right?

THat feeelss sooooooo gooooood, wooooow. That's something I want to waste hours of each day playing.... Truly....
