I choose to persist when I see a team with unpromising-looking banners. It's just a mentality thing. About what the game means to me.

I've played my Team Fortresses, Counter-Strikes, my Unreal Tournaments, my Overwatch. Decades of my life playing shooters competitively on PC and console. I have no idea how many figures of matches I've carried across all of those games. It has been a long time since I have felt the need to prove myself. I just tryhard and if my team isn't quite on the same level that is more than fine. Even the worst player can help the squad in a baiting role.

If I wanted something truly competitive I would rather go back to any of those above franchises that I mentioned. Apex is a FUN game. I would even go as far as saying that good teammates can make a game boring from time to time.

Apex Legends is not very appropriate as a true esport (or any BR for that matter). Tournaments exist for these games because they have a large viewership. Too many random variables to be a proving ground. And you can never use your teammates as a measurement of your own skill.

I would rather be the guy that carries than the guy who gets bored of winning. The only thing I don't like are AFKers. I'm working 6 days out of 7 and I don't have patience for XP farmers who stay out of sight for the whole match. Or those that join the queue and walk away like they didn't just join a queue. Wasters.

I leave immediately. Theres no point playing these matches if you're trying to win 

The game needs a solo mode so noobs will no longer be a problem

No the least we can do is add solos so people dont have to deal with this anymore. Clearly you are still bad at the game if you don't want solos added in. Only people who are afraid to play on their own and want to get carried complain about solos because they know they have no chance of winning in it so they defend their precious squads mode. Isn't that right?

You didn't "own" squat. And I'm far from bad at this game but that's a moot point. As I said in many topics I don't care if they add solos I won't lose any sleep over it, I just believe this is a team based BR game and I stand by that. So saying people that don't want solos are bad isn't true but you're going to believe what you want and that's fine.

I've gotten the timing down so pat that I just alt tab after getting a match so I don't see my teammates' stats. Because if I did I would be tempted to leave after seeing how low they are.

And to be honest, I often do. This game so desperately needs matchmaking. Hopefully in time...

I practised with friends first, now i always either leave matchmaking or i just pick the first dangerous spot to land in.

If they survive they're good enough, if not....welcome to APEX!

They always jump miles away too in fear of fighting, if you're afraid to fight they need to find another game.

I've removed everything from my banner and badges, level etc over the weekend. So did my son and partied up. We are both level 100 plus.

Use default skins only and no new Legends, ie Caustic, Mirage and Octane. 

Amazing how many people left the match before it began.

Played Duo's a lot.

Had one player jump on the mic and state oh sh*t I'm going to get smashed this game. 

Ended up winning. I had 12 kills and my son 13. Random had 2 kills

He was surprised to say the least. 

Yeah, that's the game though after a while of playing it and the feeling of fun wears off, you see the glaringly obvious flaw... There is ZERO Matchmaking in the game and you're forced to play with 2 other idiots! 

No Solos

No Ranked

No Matchmaking.
