That has not been my experience.
I was solo Q over the weekend, and had a great run with random team mates. I think I we won 5 out of 12-15games played. Each time there was variations in team mate levels (and skill). In one game there was a level 8 (I think) who was a great player and was slaying for fun.
This brings up another issue about how to measure skill. I have always said that time played would help in terms of getting a level playing field (kinda). But this weekend just gone has taught me that any level player can be good or bad. I had low level monsters and high level no thumbs.
With the amount of teams, RnG, luck/fate, anything can happen in this game and that's why I like it.
I play the game for what it is and thoroughly enjoy it. I like the random now if I'm honest. Don't get a great drop? Oh well, next time may be better.
The less seriously I take this game, the more and more I have fun, especially now the servers feel far more solid which was my major bug bear with the game.
