I don't see any difference
- @HappyHourSumwur Hi there, looks like we’ve been here before. Sadly this will be the 3rd season of complaints with nothing done substantially to change the situation. The last change was a message stating change. If I need to play 3 more seasons for it to balance out, I’m sorry, I’m out.
Personally I think there is a deep problem they are unable to fix, maybe due to personnel assets? Another issue could be the use of AI tech to write undetectable cheats and these cheats can easily be reworked in free to play. Anyway, I won’t put nearly the time I used to into something not nearly as fair as it used to be. I’ll still enjoy knocking some people down because I know I’m not cheating. It feels good to get called a cheater when you know you’re not. I will also say the unfairness in matchmaking is the driving force behind the lack of fun, not so much the cheats. As a Diablo 3 fan, I learned they’ll never be able to control bots or cheats completely. They loose too much personnel after the game gets older. The longer a game continues, the more trickery goes on. Especially free to play = free to cheat. - XHelperZ3 years agoHero+
I mean, do note that it was a blog post, not a patch.
They're intending to change the matchmaker, targeting certain regions when testing.
It's not something that's going to solved with the snap of a finger, it'll take a lot of changes with a lot of time over the course of a few months at the very least before it's considered "improved" for most players.
- @E9ine_AC I still think a lot of people don’t believe that these lobbies exist in pubs. I tell people all the time that the top “bucket” is essentially all Masters and Preds and they often tell me that’s impossible, because that would mean that high level players are playing high level players.
- @Axs5626Sxa5001 Those people have no idea.
And you see here we are full circle...I've read some of your posted regarding this where people have been complaining about this very issue for years, yet it was swept under the rug. Just play to have fun people said, who never had this problem and thought it was myth. Another popular poster who posts about this regularly was laughed at @Axs5626Sxa5001 for years for brining this issue to light, so much so, that he recently left because he was being shunted by this very community, shameful btw. NOW we all can agree, when it happens to us, that skill means almost nothing when the developer/game can just decide your experience. I've been saying this exact thing for years - when you reach a certain threshold the game stops being fun unless you are top 1%. SBMM is 100% to blame for this, and every person will reach this eventually according to their own skill. SBMM is straight up poison.
- @Axs5626Sxa5001 I think youtube/streamers plays a role in this - people see high level players decimate lobbies and think they can do the same if they reach that level. Nope, it's literal hell on earth to maintain that bc of the lobbies you get. My only question is, how do they seem to get easier lobbies so often vs the rest of us? Luck? or just time? Or is it a population issue?
- @hayhor Well dude, I'm glad you realize this. I always thought you were against this idea and thought it was make believe.
- @Unitee01 Well said.
- @Unitee01 Hayhor (from my observations and experiences) has been rational on this matter.
He has, on many occasions, highlighted how lower to average skilled players do indeed currently benefit from the matchmaking used now.
