its proven that making people lose and give them a win every now and then makes them chase that rush they get from that win.conclusion is and it works,,, make them lose to keep them playing.AKA not SBMM But EOMM (Engagement Optimized matchmaking Framework.) although EA claims not to use this they dont alow anyone a peek under the hood of the SBMM (EOMM) Code.

@HappyHourSumwur Almost It is horrible. It's because Respawn has their version of MM that is designed to make us lose 90% of the time.

Solo player since day one (so almost 3 and a half years.)

Account level 500 + 9

Platinum 4 season 13 (and often platinum on others seasons)

Gold 3 for now on season 14.

And then my * mates in my last game :

Account level > 100

No rank for season 13.

Silver 3 season 14.

And of course, against 3 players premades teams. You know, to add some flavour on that quite already big pill of poop.

@B3ntar the director of Apex explained that. People who lose more often compared to people who win often, tend to stay on the game longer. Their MM is designed to make you lose more often, in order to retain more players.

A content creator played a sample of 500 games and the results were, he won 11%. There's more details on this but I don't want to explain everything. So, I'm guessing Respawn's MM is designed to make you lose approx. 9 out of 10 games.

@ZigoSid I get casuals that probably don't even play ranked and sometimes I get people below level 50. Does Apex want me to teach them how to play? I don't think I signed up for that. Then we get killed by a 3 stack of masters and preds with 20 bomb and 4K badges. How does this matchmaking makes sense? It's so dumb it's funny.

@B3ntar yeah, it tripped me out when I first heard about this MM. My thoughts were...instead of trying to match players with similarly skilled players, so that the game is challenging and enjoyable, they made a matchmaking system tailored to make you lose a majority of the time, because that has a higher probability of keep you playing the game. wtf??

@B3ntar EOMM has been heavily dismissed by EA as only a patent that was filed for a new match making system if I’m remembering it correctly…but by god doesn’t it feel like it’s in place! I could talk all day about my experience with the SBMM system in this game, but for now I will say there has been many times I’ve lost over and over until I’m at my wits end, then bam! I have a godly match where I down people just by looking in their direction, as soon as that match ends I’m back to being smashed. There rarely feels like a middle ground, so yes, it’s easy to believe in that system even if it turns out to be nothing more than a conspiracy theory.

@IdleHandsNo1 Apex is not EOMM, Respawn has their own MM. Check out Gaming Merchant's content on it.

@swift07 I agree it’s not EOMM, just feels like it quite often lol. As for the Gaming merchant, I’d rather not watch him, used to before his channel blew up after he found himself snug in EA’s pocket through sponsorship.
