Sniper is my least used weapon type so I don’t know yet until I get the chance to play as her.
edit: Rewatched all the season 14 trailers. I know this isn’t as important as how she plays but she’s kinda boring personality wise and her mother seems to be more interesting than her. Her mother is even the narrator in this new trailer. Don’t forget that a lot of people main a certain legend because of the personality of a legend alone.
More details from IGN (https://sea.ign.com/apex-legends/188709/news/apex-legends-season-14-hunted-full-details-on-vantage-kings-canyon-and-weapon-changes)
- Ultimate: Sniper’s Mark
- Vantage has her own Sniper Rifle (like Rampart’s LMG Sheila) that will mark targets she hits
- Her Sniper Rifle will dish 50 damage but marked targets will take 100 damage from her rifle and Vantage’s teammates can deal additional damage when the target is marked as well.
- The mark on a target will only last 10 seconds and will not extend through walls or cover, it is strictly a line of sight mark.
- Vantage’s ultimate does not have to be fully charged for her to use it, unlike Rampart’s Sheila. Vantage’s sniper rifle can be used at any time as long as the ultimate charge has loaded enough bullets. The fully loaded Sniper Rifle will have five total bullets.
- Ultimate Accelerants will charge her ultimate 35% (which is about two bullets)
- Passive: Spotter’s Lens
- Vantage can identify targets on the ground for herself and zoom in while unarmed and with no scopes
- Tactical: Echo Relocation
- Vantage throws out her bat friend in any direction she likes and can launch to where Echo is and double jump once she gets to where Echo is.
- The cooldown for her tactical is the actual jump itself, Echo can be thrown out in any direction at any time but Vantage cannot jump until the cooldown is reset.
- Echo can be canceled, or recalled, at any time.

Here’s more lore around Vantage. “She lacks basic social skills, and doesn’t care about good manners”
So she’s basically like every other person who created a thread in this website complaining about being banned by the ToS team for toxicity. 🤣
- 3 years ago@Cheese9Man I am now gonna go in any thread like this and ask, "Vantage? Is that you?"
- 3 years ago@Cheese9Man So far her character seems interesting so I am curious to see her personality through her lines. Also due to the fact that I didn't touched any snipers this season I wanna try to improve my skills with sniper again through her. I will definitely try her out but I need tokens first lol I am broke af so I will try her the next 3 days or so until everyone had enough of her and won't touch her anymore xd
- 3 years ago@Cheese9Man Thanks for this information Cheese! Question, her passive - will she be able to identify targets through walls, rocks, buildings, foilage etc... or only in clean line of sight?
Also - her Ultimate - is this similar to Mad Maggie whereas once she hits a legend she gets a reveal on them? 10 seconds ( is a considerable amount of time)
I don't understand the reasoning for her teammates to hit additional damage because they have been revealed by Vantage. So basically, the entire team can hit additional damage once hit by Vantage for 10 solid seconds?
I have to say, I am slightly put off by more reveal meta in this game.
I miss the days where Bloodhound was the only one with reveal abilities (balanced I felt back then) - where you could out maneuver your opponent, out position them, out think and use strategy (critical think your way through a fun GUN fight. This reveal meta has completely removed these fun kinds of game sense used and needed in a first person shooter.
What I would give for a proper balanced game where no matter what legend you choose, everyone is on a equal playing field. Nobody should feel the need to pick one specific Legend to be able to compete.
Put I'll save judgement for when she launches and try her out. But the reveal meta IMO is just breaking the game slowly.
Cheese - any news on the G7 returning this new season?- 3 years ago@NickBeam27 The G7 is returning with the double tap hop up on the ground. Shattercaps and tempo are vaulted for now since the Bocek will go into the CP.
In the earlier builds of Vantage, the scan is still present even behind walls (like BH and Seer) but was recently changed. Yes you are correct. Once “tagged” by her ult, your teammates will deal additional damage.
Season 14 will change the meta leaning towards the mid-long range fights. Here’s why:
- Skullpiercer back in the game for the longbow, wingman, and this time also for the 30-30.
-G7 ground loot
- New legend revolves around snipers so at least the first few weeks they’ll be playing around that style.
On the other hand, the short range meta also will receive an improvement with the volt coming out of the CP. The Eva-8 also got a huge buff with increased fire rate and also getting doubel tap back.
I agree that there should not be that singular legend that if you don’t have on the team, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. This is Seer (bloodhound 2.0), Valk and maybe Gibby to a point.- 3 years ago

It’s easy to use and you don’t even have to think about bullet drops. In my opinion, the charge rifle should be buffed and the OG charge rifle should return but place it in the carepackage (even though the kraber is there already).
