Mirage can bamboozle everyone
Best banner scoops I've had in a while.
Ok, so I decided to land in that area like right above the center of KC. (The one closest to the river as well)
I land, don't find a gun, and am looking for gear when I see that other enemies also landed on us. I have to move to the lower section to find more stuff. There was a Lifeline, but she didn't notice me peek around the corner and left after a few seconds. I got into the small house, find some ammo and a gun that uses different ammo. (I don't remember what it was, but it wasn't great.) I move over to the supply bin on the stairs, when both of my teammates get knocked. I pick up a sentinel, (don't have ammo for that either), and climb up onto the roof of the building, where I scout out the enemies inside.
Thankfully, because Mirage's ult charges so quickly, I had it, so I drop down, toss a decoy through one door and head through the other, then when I reach about the center of the inside, I ult, pick up both of my teammate's banners, and leave. The enemies were all there, but they couldn't tell which one was real, so I was able to escape and respawn both teammates safely.
Of course, one of my teammates disconnect, and the remaining one wasn't the best. We camped on top of the wall on Artillery, and he kind of gave away our position by setting up a Loba ult and then shooting it to prevent it from doing the ping sound. ☹️
But he was nice, so it wasn't all bad, and I nearly clutch the last fight.
It was final 3 squads, and I heard a Pathfinder grappling. As soon as he popped up, I just crushed him. Turns out he was solo.
An enemy Loba tries to use the jump tower to get the drop on me, but I easily heard her coming and just popped my ult. Walked right behind her and crushed her.
My teammate had jumped down, for some strange reason, and was fighting the last 2 people. I go down, and pop my ult again, I was able to crush one of them, but they had a PK and got me down to like 100 health. The last guy comes, and I almost get him, but he had a Devo and just lasered my remaining health.
Looking back on this post, I feel like this is less of a discussion and more storytime.
