I see your point. i’d like to see him in some of these competitive tournaments (even once). Apart from rev, he is simply the worst legend.
i don’t think the balance changes i suggested him would make him op. many legends would still do all the roles much better. in fact it would probably make him playable in diamond plus lobbies.
i just think an ultimate should benefit the legend not hinder. he’s the only legend where the ultimate actually hurts the team.

My son mains Mirage.... in his opinion, he believes his ultimate is almost over powered. He states that his ultimate recharges faster than almost all others, and because so - he can use the ultimate in almost every battle he encounters. I play a lot with him, and once he deploys the ult....its almost a guarantee to come out of the battle the victor.
He 1v2's constantly once its deployed. He has specific movements he does upon activating and rarely does he not come out on top. He has said many times, "as soon as I pull the ult, they die."
He has played all legends, but states, his win rate and kills, damage, placement is always higher when main mirage.
I'm sorry to hear your frustration with him. But personally for me, whenever I go up against a mirage 1v1....if he pulls his ult, I die 9 out of 10 times.
One thing I would not want to see is a scan on ppl who shoot his decoys. This game is riddled already way to much with reveal meta garbage. To the point of no return. If that was the case, than every legend should be reworked to be fair, so that every legend has some form of wall hacking, reveal, scan in real time rubbish....because you know - game sense has no business in a competitive BR game.

once you get to diamond plus, the ult stops working. everyone knows the real mirage. what rank is your son at ?

Maybe this is because of my years playing Mesmer competitively in PvP and WvW in Guild Wars 2, but I can almost always track the real Mirage out of his Ult. There is subtle animation differences (a very slight delay, I think) between the real and the ult actions. It's a dead giveaway if one climbs or uses a door, of course, but there are always Tells.
The times I can not is:
- When I didn't see it triggered, I just turn around or round a corner and there they are. Then it takes me a bit to decide which to shoot.
- If the player is very good at pretending to be a bad AI bot (or just IS bad...).
Like I said, it could be from years of playing Mesmer in GW2. Used to illusion clones already.
I really think he needs something for a passive that works when his team is dead and he's alone though. Because the last to get knocked now no longer does squat for his passive as they took away self revive.
- BigMacAttack8u3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Kyldenar All you have to do to find a mirage in a stack of decoys if you didn’t see it happen is just spray shot the area, and chances are you’ll hit the right one. Offer shooting them, the damage indicator floating above them tells you where they are.

Imo it would be nice if we could use his ult as a nice companhion, even for a short period of time with low dmg output. Since his clones can interact with other players in some of his emotes. I could think about splitting him in three or two when he ults too, and with a 50\50 ou 33\33\33 chance to be in right, left or middle after ulting to confusing the enemy. Aswell as giving a few invencibility frames just before the split to help it not getting damage in the proccess and giving it away the position of the real one.
