It's possible that these cans were still stored somewhere in their warehouse, only now to be shipped out.
Not really something that can be done on EA/Respawn's end, as it's the fault of the Store or where the store gets their products from.
From what I understand, all these cans were produced by Monster in time to be shipped out to the warehouses or stores.
Whether or not they decide to put these items on the shelves is their decision, in this case it might be that they forgot to put them on or that they got lost somewhere.
Yeah, distribution chain issues are understandable, but there shouldn't be a limited time promotional period then, honor all the cans that are sold. Buying what you think is an active promotion, only to find out it expired 9 months ago is pretty much along the lines of false advertising. Destiny 2 ran a similar partnership with Monster a few years back, as long as you had a can you could redeem. They didn't have this lame 3 months restriction, and cans weren't sold 9 months later either.
