I play on console with a gaming monitor with a 1ms delay. Meaning I will see you around a corner before you see me, if you're sitting in your living room playing on a 60" big screen Would you consider that cheating?I also use Astro A40s with mix amp so I can adjust my sound to my preferences and make footsteps other sound effects louder while making my game chat quieter. Would consider that cheating?I also use a Xbox Elite Series 2 and Scuff Advantage, I've added 4 triggers to hot key more commands and have custom input and deadzones on my analog sticks all set up on my xbox console. Would you consider that cheating?Oh I also have 1gig internet, and use an external SSD drive to store my games. Would you consider that cheating?Last but not least I got laser eye surgery, so now I have perfect 20/20 vision advantage over all you nerds wearing glasses. Would you consider that cheating?

Unpopular fact: a 1ms response monitor will not give you any advantage over a 4 or 5ms response monitor.It's a fact, so don't @ me.

@Wingmannedbro Officially i can only find that they allow Hori for PlayStation and Razer Turret for Xbox but also any other cheap M&K of your choosing will work but the supported games are few and Apex Legends is not in the list.If you can provide a link of an official product or just a mouse keyboard that will work in Apex Legends then say it so we can all use it.The majority of players in Apex Legends and other games (not in the supported list) are using a controller. If someone is using Xim adapter or any other adapter to trick the console that he's using just a controller to have an advantage with M&K then in my opinion it's cheating.I don't know why Microsoft/Sony won't ban Xim adapter players this is stupid and unfair to the whole console community.Maybe they make money this way you never know with companies.If Microsoft/Sony won't do it then players will do it.I've already reported one m&k user. I haven't encountered more since launch of Apex but i don't play much these days. Waiting for the new event!I'm not surprised if they come in forum and say i'm banned i didn't cheat!!! Maybe they used adapter and their profile is full of reports. Justice served! Hell yeah ;P

There are people with missing fingers after all, and they cannot bann anyone for using a Xim to "cheat" since A it does not infringe the game's software and B it does not auto aim for you and C it bars anyone with disabilities from playing.I personally would prefer that Respawn would just support MNK on console the way Fortnite has it, but crossplay would probably have to be a thing first.

Nope,don't consider m&k to be cheating either if i'm honest.
If people wanna m&k that's their business, i'll happily stick to my default ps4 controller lol.

@MandatoryIDtag I believe it comes down to personal preferences. If you've been a console gamer your entire life and never touched a PC game. Switching over to m/k isn't going to make better out of no where, given that scenario I'd bet money you'd perform worse.

As long as emulators stay within the restrictions of the game mechanics and the controller their plugged into, I have no issue with people using them.

The moment scripts and macros come into play, it's treated just like cheating on PC.

Yup 100%.
Also using M&K even if you're familiar with it might give you an edge but it doesn't necessarily make you a superior player, yes the ability to kill players is a important part of apex, but like any BR that only makes up a percentage of the skillset required to be "good".

Even within the PC space these points still apply.
I use a logitech G502/G910 mouse and keyboard. I thus have a total of 18-22 (depending on how you want to count them) fully customizable keys to bind essential controls to. Someone else could be using a dell laptop with trackpad they got for homework.
Is that cheating?

@DankToliet can't tell if you're trolling or just daft but let me show you how wrong you are with a analogy.

Does bringing shinier armour and a sharper sword to battle make you a cheater? No but if wouldn't make you any better either if you weren't to begin with, but will bringing a * assault rifle against bow and arrow users make a difference?

These are all allowed and don't even come close to using M & K.
Μouse & Keyboard isn't allowed yet in Apex Legends on console.

You can't compare these with the huge benefit you'd get by using M & K.
1) I can play with 5ms monitor and still be good.
2) I can play with Razer Electra/Kraken and still be good. I don't know about Astro headset but with any headset you can at least lower game chat in settings audio and increase game volume.
3) I can play with normal controller and use LB for crouch and RB for jump ( something like having paddles right? 😂haha ) and still be good.
4) I can play with 24mbps ( real 10-11 😂 )
and still have stable connection in matches without lag.
5) I don't see any big difference with SSD.
The game is optimized even for the internal hard drive.
6) You can see clearly even with glasses.
No monitor, no sound, no controller, no connection, no ssd will help you AIM better and hit more headshots.
In conclusion, M & K isn't allowed and it's cheating.
(Advantage in aiming and hitting more headshots)
Personally, i won't feel any satisfaction by slaying the majority of players who use controller so for me it's a waste of money and risky of reports to my profile.

Yeah, i'm afraid Sony and Microsoft disagree with you there, and even sell 3rd party console mice and keyboard sets on their own websites.
Nobody in world has ever been banned for using a Xim or Venom X.
