Mouse & Keyboard Only Servers Already!

Let it be crystal clear, I DO NOT care what input device someone uses on a personal level. I'm very open to players using what they want, when they want. I honestly encourage players to use their preferred input device.

It's about time Apex Legends had mouse & keyboard only servers. I won't lie, this is mostly to do with controllers having aim assist. The fact that they get aim assist is not the issue. The issue in my eyes is controllers get aim assist vs mouse & keyboard lobbies.

I would honestly take the extra wait time with a feature like this. I would honestly pay for this.

  • The fact that some people think controller players have the advantage over mkb players is mind boggling to me, but regardless I agree with OP. There should be some kind of input based matchmaking for different inputs.

    @MandatoryIDtag props to you for playing without aim assist, but its not a matter of m&k players managing it as well as you can on console. It comes down to the fact that people on console don't have the greatest movement so they force the fight to be cqc by any means so they can get the benefit of aim assist; from there it's just using hip fire aim assist... I've tried to use the bonus of m&k movement to out play my opponent, but it doesn't matter... most console players use AA so no matter how hard I try to out maneuver them I still get beamed.. I would love for there to be separate servers based on input or at the very least a way to turn off cross play...

    @MrDef3ctive

    You know I've never thought of that, but I honestly do behave drastically differently based on my input device.

    I use both mouse & keyboard and/ or controller in Apex Legends and honestly try to get as close as possible when using a controller for the extra aim assist.

    I'm not being biased in any way, just stating what I've noticed directly while playing the two devices. Like for example my clips of the controller are pinpoint center mass on the player most of the time (if I connect).

    My mouse & keyboard clips are drastically different. The fine aim so slightly moves, which leads to one or more misses during a fight. It's quite easy to spot once you see it the first time.

    I'll add your comment to the main body so others reading can understand this point of view, Thanks.

  • @hayhor I thought of an answer to your question wrt Apex. They complain that anyone who killed them was using a strike pack. Unfortunately, a lot of the time they are right!

    @Popa2caps Thanks for the honest post. Truth to be said it is the first sign I see when people are playing controller = they get into your face no matter the weapon be it Eva or 301 or Volt, getting as close as possible is the goal nr.1 which otherwise would be rendered as not smart decision unless you really run only shotguns or now prowler (rest you can hit from way further :P ).
