Movement Techniques Question

I had some questions regarding how some movement techniques are done that I've seen.  In a no fill duos I thought I had the drop on a solo wraith who didn't know I was watching her when I was hiding, I opened fire with the havoc from a stairwell while she was looting, and when she knew I was there she did a weird jump that looked like she flew diagonally from the bottom right of my screen to the top left of it, then while I was reloading I didn't make my cover on time she shot me with a gun (not sure which) that finished me off in 2 or 3 hits I think.  I have tried to recreate this jump on the firing range so I can use it to get out of being shot and I can't do it.  It's a console lobby so I don't know if it's possible if this was a cheat or if there is a certain way you can jump to do this.  I can't seem to jump high enough (she went to almost the ceiling of the room).

Another technique was something a team mate did in tdm where someone shot at us and this person jumped forward at the wall and did a backflip and landed on their feet, dodging all bullets coming toward them.  It was similar to what people call a wall jump in YouTube videos except this person didn't latch onto the wall, just did a backflip and landed back where they were.

Another one that bugs me that I tried to recreate I saw in tdm that was a wraith that would jump back and forth real high in like a v shape, she would do a high jump, land, and bounce back up the opposite side so that it looked like she was bouncing back and forth into the shape of a V.

I hear the triple flip move is a cheat that was banned, are these moves similar?  Or is it possible to learn these with enough practice?  Does anyone have an idea how to perform these techniques?  Thanks.  I'd appreciate any help you guys have since my aim is getting pretty good, but I think it's mostly my movement now that is holding me back.

  • @AymCTLThat sounds like a tap strafe. Which is achieved by jumping then using scroll wheel bind to move forward then you would scroll up and you turn it allows you to hit 180's or other type of movements they choose.

Oh, so it sounds like the people in team death match that do these are probably PC players that are using the scroll wheel on their mouse.  Is there any way that controller players can do these moves or do these require additional equipment,  like I think there is a special controller with extra keys you can bind different key combinations to?  Thanks for the response.
