My account got reset

So i used to play apex legends on xbox a while back and then i switched to PlayStation and made a new account recently i downloaded it back on xbox and my account was reset. anyone know why?

    Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. Because of that, if you link your platform to a different EA account or create a new account to play from, you'll lose access to that progress. It is not possible to transfer progress between separate EA accounts.

    You will need to re-link your platform to its original EA account to try restoring any missing progress. If you've already re-linked the original accounts and the progress has not returned, it would be lost permanently per the risks of unlinking and unfortunately cannot be recovered. If you're running into any trouble getting the original accounts re-linked, please contact support directly so they can take a look.

    i never linked the account to ps i started new so therefore i should of never lost my xbox progress

    If you haven't already, can you please confirm that you're signed into the correct account? You can follow the steps on this page to check. If your progress is there and you're on the right account, please use the Contact Us button at the bottom of the page to get in touch with our support team, and they will work with you to investigate the cause. 

    It might also be worth checking whether the account has any sanctions placed on it, as that might've locked up your progress.
