My Apex Account has been banned.

My account was banned without a reason why, and I sent two messages to the help center asking for more information, as I have never cheated or done anything of that nature and I am unable to even talk to someone to get more details around this. This account had financial investments so it is a bit more serious than just “make a new account”, and not to mention how poor the customer service has been from EA on this matter. The only thing I can think of is that I downloaded the Steam version of Apex as I had previously played on origin, and within 24 hours my account was banned. 6 or 7 hours after the ban, I finally received an email saying I was “cheating” but that is as specific as it got. I have never cheated, I never planned to cheat, and I will not support or play this game on another account, as I have followed all guidelines while using EA services, so is there any better way to reach out and actually receive help? It’s been almost two weeks without so much as an email of acknowledgment that I sent a question.

Zeelmaekers Edit: - Made title more clear.

  • Hey @Bigmak927 !

    Welcome to Answer HQ! 🙂
You should have received an e-mail regarding the ban.

Unfortunately, we cannot help with account bans on AHQ.

If you feel your account was flagged as a false positive, you best reach out to the Terms of Service team.

Click here to reach out to the Terms of Service team.

They try to reply within 5 business days but it could take a bit longer due to the increased safety measures being put in place.
Just keep an eye on your mailbox and also check your spam and promotion folders as sometimes these emails can get routed over there.

  • @Bigmak927 They are useless. Had the same problem. With financial investments. They do not respond. USELESS. USELESS. When they do respond they say not enough details, close the tickets, send new ticket. . Repeat. Use .. less.

Did I mention that EA ARE USELESS

Yeah I’m noticing EA does not respond or hear any of their customers out. This is truly a shame as I would have continued to offer my business and attention but I refuse to double pay or work for the same things I’ve already had to rework for coming from ps4 since cross progression is also not a thing. Then you get on here and someone tells you to go through the same steps you tried 2 weeks ago and never got an answer for, as if trying again will do anything. There is no phone to contact, so instead they can ignore emails until you’re so fed up you move on. Truly a terrible way to conduct business and customer service.

Is there a direct email or line I may reach out to? I’ve waited 2 weeks for 2 different emails and neither have been responded to whatsoever. The classification of simply “cheating” is not nearly in depth enough to be useful, as the guidelines for cheating include everything under the sun. If there was a specification it would make this much, much easier on all ends. I refuse to accept that I’ve done anything wrong, as I have not and there is no evidence provided to support otherwise, even when requested along with general help (which shouldn’t be a problem with such a large company), but alas, any customer with an issue will be ignored instead. Fantastic work.

Can anyone please provide any even semi-useful information regarding this matter? I don’t want to let this die so they can just mistreat me like thousands of other customers.

Did your little brother access your account while you went away for a couple of days? Did you say a racist/sexist/homophobic comment? Did you install cheats but then decide not to use them but there anti cheat program picked up on it even though it didn't work on your end?

Or maybe you just got really unlucky, who knows?

Edit: The man did stay this is not the location for help. Not trying to be rude but if that is the policy then it is what it is.

  • @SWgeebz I don’t have a little brother. No I didn’t do that. No I’ve never downloaded cheats. Getting really unlucky is supposed to be valid enough reason to ban an account and render the entirety of the account useless? Is that really supposed to be acceptable? Terrible excuses, and “it is what it is” is the type of mentality that gets absolutely nothing done, so thanks for all of that.

I notice that there are a lot of banned posts on the forums/Reddit so a lot of tickets have been sent to the TOS.
They have to investigate all cases and already try to reply within 5 business days but in situations like this it could take longer.

  • I am also Facing the same. I have created a file case for customer support. Hope they'll resolve it soon. I never  cheat . I use RGB light software to give light effects during game play . It must have identified as a Cheat and banned me . I am not even able to make a new account and play with my friends. Its beeen 2 days and I miss apex legends. Please help!
