My apex settings and keybinds wont save on steam version of apex

My apex settings and keybinds wont save on steam version of apex. I had this problem before on orgin apex but I fixed it on there before. However Im now having the problem again on the steam version where none of my settings at all save upon relaunching the game so I have to rebind everything whenever I play. I cant find a fix for this on the steam version anywhere.

    Yes this cfg file is set to read only and I have tried unchecking it a few times because that is how I fixed on origin but in a different directory. However whenever I attempt to uncheck it it just checks itself again even though im clicking apply.

    @DONKSHRONK That's weird, also why the whole folder is set to read only. Try doing it for individual files? Have you tried checking the cfg files in C:/user/Saved games/Respawn. Same cfg files are in there too.

    If everything fails, your last resort would be to set every value manually in cfg files and that way it won't reset if it's read-only mode.
