1.Simulacrums need an "organic storage" somewhere, to work, probably the brain of the person, not necessarily in the Simulacrum Body, but SOMEWHERE.
2. Simulacrum tests started in 2419, Revenant happened in 2420, possibly their first success.
3. They most likely tried using "Spectres" as "vessels" for the mind until they realized it wasn't ideal for a human.
4. Due to Subject C freaking out to a copy, only one simulacrum can exist from the same person, and most likely the person is also killed if not dead already.
EDIT: If the brain is still alive, I'm not sure whether to call them dead or not, I guess it's removed from their body.
5. Simulacra are said to see their reflections in the mirror, or else they go crazy.
6. Revenant's "EGO RETENTION SYSTEM" failed, doing exactly that.
7. This all explains what they meant with "source code", if Revenant's "organic storage" is still somewhere, they can't exactly access it easily.
