to get straight to the point, How do you guys feel about them joining apex? From what I've seen, Nick just started playing maybe around a week ago and he's already gotten to diamond which is impressive cause when I started playing around season 6 after quitting fortnite not too long before, I was pretty bad at the game. (half of season 6, my k/d was an abysmal 0.30) regardless it was fun which made me want to improve.It makes me wonder if he'll become a content creator for the game... or if he'll slowly start to lose his sanity like many of us have lol

FPS game is FPS game in its basics - point and shoot.Especially if people are coming from other Battle Royal games there is a significant carry-over effect same as in any other related field in life.As for the K/D ratio (as well as any other stat in my opinion), it really does not represent the true skill. You can be a great support player taking all the damage, picking up players who push on your team and you will get horrible stats, yet your role in the team is still important and you still benefit the goal of winning. People here just focus too much on damage, k/d, badges and of course, kills.My K/D ratio has been around 0.6 for 2+ seasons now yet I am on Diamond level and feel ok there with people who have k/d over 2 and they do say the same that I play well. Adding to that it really matters which k/d ratio are you looking at - ranked or public or overall. Usually ranked one is way lower especially the higher you go up the ranks as it is not uncommon for me to win a game with say 2 kills or even less.Also, I played just yesterday with ex COD player who was on the controller - the dude has aiming skills from COD, aim assist from Apex. Without tactical guidance, he got to plat (currently diamond level given it is the beginning of the new season) lobbies easily but then hit a wall when playing vs diamond+ players give he has no positioning skills and apex-specific skills e.g. when to use and how to use abilities.The dude really sucked but after some guidance, good coms during the game we did manage to pull very good results utilizing his strong sides of shooting and pushing and e.g. my knowledge of positioning rotation and knowledge of legends.To be fair I did also report some level <100 people who were on Diamond + level as smurfs, but I see now that I might have been wrong on some of the cases and people just transfer from other games and catch up with Apex quite fast proving also the fact that players sub diamond (which is like 70?% of the whole community) are really sub-par skill-wise if we can call it so.

@CCbathwater I have watched Shiv once & it was a compilation edit. I don't really watch FPS streamers. Barely watch streamers at all.

@soccerking122 It isnt surprising a pro level warzone player is good at apex. If you can point and shoot well on one game you can point and shoot well at another. The difference in Apex is you need to learn character abilities and the ttk is much longer. He seems to have gotten used to it from what I have seen.

I've only watched these guys just a little bit, but they seem to be doing pretty well. I've observed a fair number of streamers trying this game out and seen a wide variety of initial skill. I think most "pro" level players ought to be able to get themselves to diamond fairly easily, because I've seen a lot of them do it.

It took me about a year to get just somewhat decent. On PC I have a K/D of 1.30 in Arenas this season. I think its the first time for me to see anything positive in an online game.
I haven't played much BR lately. But I'd rather not look at the stats, especially the ones on Xbox.

@soccerking122 I bet you EA used the opportunity to bring the big guys to Apex from Act/Blizz fiasco to hype Apex. EA is known for that, they know how to get publicity and Apex is way more fun to play. Nick also trolls and have a good angle, he is bringing Apex too much attention. Dr and * tat, also playing more often.
